This cafe is very convenient for people using the transpennine trail which runs alongside it. I had a large tea cake stuffed with well-cooked bacon, a mug of coffee and got change out of £5. I stopped here for a late breakfast during a 3-day ride along the TPT, having just come over the Pennines. What an absolute gem of a cafe! Really great value for a hungry cyclist.
Note that they don't accept card payments - which may be an issue if you're travelling light.
