I call here for a coffee or breakfast before my motorbike ride, I love it, staff are extremely polite, I do not have a bad word to say. It's lovely, and a lovely scenic area

Outstanding Pub, never miss a chance for a stop after walking round Ramsden, Brownhill, Yateholme and Riding Wood.
Well crafted Yorkshire style pub in a perfect spot across from the cricket grounds. The food is always exceptional and the staff friendly. The atmosphere is cozy, very in-keeping with the local village setting.
They never fail to find us a seat although we book when we can as it?s immensely popular.

This is hands down the nicest dog friendly room I have ever stayed in. I stayed in Grouse, Absolutely stunning with lovely original features and every extra you could think of. Even a jar of dog treats!! Really comfy bed, and a fantastic breakfast. I will definitely be back. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Cosy and inviting pub. We enjoyed the Tuesday quiz. Staff are welcoming and polite. Bar snacks were delicious too. ??

I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying breakfast at The Pickled Pheasant, and it was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles from the friendly staff, who truly made us feel at home. Their attentiveness and genuine hospitality added a lovely personal touch to the entire experience.
The breakfast itself was superb. Every dish was crafted with care, showcasing fresh, locally sourced ingredients that truly elevated the meal. You could really taste the quality and the effort that went into each bite. Whether it was the perfectly cooked eggs or the delicious artisan bread, it was clear that they take great pride in using the finest local produce.
The setting was charming, cozy, and inviting, making it the perfect spot to start the day. I highly recommend The Pickled Pheasant to anyone looking for a breakfast experience that combines excellent food, friendly service, and the best of local flavors. I?ll definitely be returning!

Really enjoyed our stay in Grouse. It was spacious, warm and spotlessly clean. A comfy bed, roll top bath, brownies and a log burner - what more could you need? Oh and a little dedicated dog space under the stairs with a bed and bowls! Excellent and genuinely friendly customer service from everyone. We will be back.
