Food is fantastic, huge portions and excellent quality. Pub is lovely, very welcoming, lots of great value deals on drinks and food. Service was fabulous too, helpful, friendly and attentive.

Arrived at 11:54 went to ask how it worked
Table service/where to sit etc etc
Understandable I was early however
I DID NOT WANT TO PLACE AN ORDER
Was spoken to like crap by some unkempt guy who looked like he?d just rolled out of bed and couldn?t even make eye contact. Topped off by him slamming the doors as we went to wait outside . (They were open when I arrived)
We decided to leave and eat elsewhere

My friend has had her wedding booked here for June this year. I have just taken our final food choices for the day to be told that the menu had changed at the beginning of April so the choices I had for all the guests have to be done again. At no point was I contacted to inform me of the menu change. BE WARNED IF YOU HAVE AN EVENT BOOKED! Double check now your reservation etc.
The lady who I spoke too (Rosie) was very apologetic and tried to ask the chef (Gary) if it would be possible but it was still a no. It was even a No for one jacket potato.

Good value Friday pies. I went for beef and most of us found some of beef tough, perhaps under cooked?

Went for food last night, never been before but so pleased we did. We could not find fault at all. The food was amazing, staff were very friendly and attentive and it was a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go again if in the area! And they are very dog friendly too

Great little pub, the service was friendly and fast. The food was hearty, tasty and well presented. I can recommend the beef croquets and chicken and mushroom pie.
