We stayed here for 5 nights as a treat for my birthday.
Room No 105 is situated next to a room which has been converted into an office.
From early evening to early hours of the morning there is a lot of noise which sounds like moving furniture.
I reported this on the second day to no avail so our sleep was continually disturbed, and also banging the door each time going out and coming in.
Food and drinks: The food and drink is typical wetherspoons but its good value.

Brilliant place for a cheap drink..
Had the New crispy Korean chicken bowl & my husband had the Korean chicken wrap both were delicious.
Will definitely have it again on our return.
Staff are friendly & great service.

Although a great public house it certainly has it's short commings.
Had a Large mixed grill for lunch. It came, it looked gorgeous. Within 3 minutes we were asked if meal was ok. We replied yes BECAUSE IT LOOKED that way until I tried eating my steak. It was RAW. I politely pointed this out to the waitress who earlier asked if everything was ok. She snapped lightly and said " You told me everything was ok" I replied I hadn't gotten to my steak and she shouldn't asked within minutes of receiving our meals.
NO Apology, just asked me what the meat was and then said she'd order a replacement. 10 minutes later a far smaller version arrived.
Again no apologies ?

The service is very poor, they don't keep the real ale particularly well and the staff look as if they don't really want to be there. Customer service severely lacking.

Sadly I can't put 5 stars cos second visit is absolutely terrible. Been there in midweek and pub is very busy and service it's amazing, food great, so happy but come here today again, Sunday evening 15 September but....
Food it's nice again, well done, but service it's a slow and terrible, this pub is not busy today and no understand why is all services so slow..and not a smile, looks like hate this work.. so sad cos when I been here in midweek when pub is really busy everything come great and in Sunday when is absolutely not busy....its a terrible service. Sorry, maybe not recommended in Sunday when working lazy staff.
