Food was filling and good quality, staff were very friendly and observed social distancing very well. Price of food and drinks was excellent for such a lovely area and the surrounding village is certainly worth a walk after! Would definitely recommend to people in the area.

Delightful stone restaurant with garden. Small car park. Had a lovely lunch in a gazebo outside. Good service. Delicious sea bass but burger sent back as on the rare side replaced quickly without fuss. Clean toilets. Recommended.

Lovely meal, atmosphere, service and staff. Under new management and will definitely be better than ever before if tonight was something to go by. Would highly recommend. Will be revisiting and looking forwards to seeing the finished renovation.

Hidden gem of a restaurant just off the A1(M)...lovely village location, perfect for lunch. Currently undergoing renovations so dining is outside in the heated tent, but was nice and comfy.

After planning a trip, a walk from South Elmsall to Thurnscoe via Hooton Pagnell, I was rather disappointed to discover this place has now closed down! There?s nothing on the website or on Google to inform anyone of this situation, which may well be so for some considerable time. I was really looking forward to a good lunch after reading the positive reviews, but sadly it didn?t happen. A local woman very kindly made me a sandwich and gave me a couple of apples from her tree, otherwise I don?t know what I would?ve done! I only had a bottle of water with me.\\n\\nTo anyone planning on eating here - it?s shut down! If, at any time, the Hostel Inn reopens I?ll remove this review!

Wouldnâ??t return, average but beef tough and not nice tasting. Why donâ??t these pubs spend more on vital ingredients. Not cheap either.

Four of us went for Sunday lunch. Lovely food and great beer. Veggie options for one of us a bit disappointing but all in all we had a very good time with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. We will be going again

We stopped for dinner on a Saturday night. The pub was quiet, food was lovely and l must say in the top end of pub kind of food. Definitely recommend!

been here today for sunday lunch and it was lovely the meat was perfect and the parsnips were the best iv ever had. desserts lovely too and also the wine. staff really friendly we will be back
