Very friendly staff with no hard selling of anything. Even though I didn?t purchase anything today, I felt welcomed.

I have only just started diving in to the world of 40k this year and Grant is always super helpful, whether it be suggesting models for my Salamander army or paints/brush sizes. It is always a pleasure to pop in to store and ask for advice on anything I need help with :)

Grant was excellent when I and my daughter visited for a game introduction. The whole experience was immersive and we had great fun. Received our battle honours and all services explained. Also picked up some paints and core rules to continue our journey. Can?t wait to visit again.

I came into the shop for the first time about a year ago. I had never done the hobby before and since then I have loved it. Grant has always been kind and friendly and makes learning the hobby fun and accessible. He?s always happy to chat lore or give tips. Great staff! Great vibes!

Came in with my friend earlier today who is brand new to the Warhammer universe for him to pick up his starter set. I have had a lot of exposure to the video games and the lore in terms of books but never played the tabletop version. The store manager Grant was welcoming and broke away from his own game to see to us. He played an introductory game with us to allow us to experience the game in tabletop form and was absolutely brilliant at delivering a narrative. Grant has offered us to come in any time and teach us to play which we certainly will be doing. A pleasurable experience and left the shop very happy. It?s what the hobby should be all about. Always a great experience at Gamesworkshop Doncaster, Grant does a fantastic job running the show, excellent customer service provided for all your gaming and build/painting needs and of course a big mention for his trusty assistant Mick.

For a slight background, I have only very recently got into making 40k models and have such a vague knowledge of Warhammer overall.
I first called into the Doncaster branch a few weeks ago and was approached by Grant who happily spent a good wedge of time explaining to me about specific models I was looking at, what the types of paints are and which more suited to each faction, as well as how to apply them- with me buying a few paints and attempting more at home. This visit genuinely helped get my confidence up a bit with coming to ask questions and figuring bits out, so I have been back multiple times now, picking up extra paints and chatting about bits with Grant.
My overall experience in the store has been friendly, reassuring, and even more so informative about what to do. Grant has also recommended the Tyranid codex to me, which I am going to be having a big read to help with my own Tyranid projects.
Overall my experience has been extremely positive, and I hope this helps nudge someone into coming into the store and peaks their interest to have such a knowledgable and passionate enthusiast give you lots of information about the different factions and choices available.

Great store with a warm and welcoming environment created by the store manager Grant. Always on hand to give advise on painting techniques, army builds, book recommendations etc.
As someone that had only previously painted, Grant has been brilliant at guiding me into the gaming aspect and obtaining the lore around my faction choices.
Monthly painting competitions / challenges, intro games and hobby spaces are great and I can?t recommend the store enough ??.

The Doncaster warhammer shop is incredibly welcoming. It?s made more encouraging to speak of your hobby with other fellow hobbyists because of the fine fellow called Grant. He?s a very welcoming soul and is always willing to answer any questions you have. He?s always looking in the best way he can to help you. His knowledge of paints, builds and an overall understanding of Warhammer is astounding. He will always tell you about lore, paint recommendations, builds that would work well with what you have or want and most importantly he?ll wanna ask or talk about you. I cannot fault the store, the environment, the staff or the people within it. Only thing I can and will fault is my wallet and time not being big enough to drive deeper into this hobby! Wanna get a starter kit on Warhammer? speak to Grant and the people at the Doncaster shop. You won?t regret it!

Went in to do the painting of the free figure and ended up falling in love with the place.
Grant is a true gent and very passionate about the hobby but more importantly he's passionate about bringing in noobs (like me) and explaining it so you can understand it.
Safe to say I'll be back.
