I have been with EVC for some years now, and I?ve always had my horses in the healthy horse plan as it does help against the bigger bills. This week our old pony Revel stayed at EVC to be treated for a corneal ulcer. The treatment has worked brilliantly to heal his eye. Not only that but the ladies were A-MAZING, Kitty and Libby in particular treating Revs and giving me regular updates, although I know he was a complete favourite with all the staff! Thank you so, so much! Florence is extremely happy that her pony has been loved and cared for and that he is now back home!

I agree with another poster, how this vets has 5 stars Is beyond me. I?m fortunate enough to have some medical knowledge being a nurse. So on the 3 occasions where my horse has been seriously unwell I have had to research and make an educated guess at was has been wrong and fortunately I have been right. They don't seem to have a clue but are happy to charge the fees for the visits. My horse who was described by Phil as ?basically a wreck? is still alive 12 months on since he misdiagnosed him as not having colic when he actually had life threatening colic, he was left in agonising pain due to his incompetence. Phil who arrived in a uniform from a vets in a different part of the country. I?ve always been so euphoric that Marco is ok post illness that I?ve dropped the thoughts of complaining. But after yet another run in with the receptionist I feel I must put it out there. I will be contacting the Royal college of veterinary care to complain. It?s hardly a surprise that the decent vets leave if they are tracking their cars since selling their soul and being bought out. This horrible place has had £1000?s of my money and they think it?s ok to withhold treatment due to a £350 balance which is less than a month old. I?ve been with them since the 1990?s they make me sick. Also I see Richard Coppack has given the place 5 stars when he bloody worked there. He came to see Marco in 2020 and said he did have colic when he had stomach ulcers, 3 visits later I?d worked it out. another £1000 bill. Urghh

Moorhouse vets is new to me, as I registered with them when I bought my boy Dave last year. Dave came in with an irritated eye 2 weeks ago, I emailed photos and was able to bring him in the next day. I know you can?t be too careful when it comes to eyes. Joana and Ellie were amazing when we visited and they diagnosed him with carcinoma of the eye. They explained he needed it removing (third eyelid removing) they broke all the costs down as my insurance cover I had did not cover this. There was no judgement for this either, they were all very down to earth, professional and supportive. The reception team and Joana organised the surgery and Damien was even contacted when he was on annual leave. They all went above and beyond. The surgery was booked. I then had a small panic & emailed them again , to receive a phone call from Joana explaining everything again. (I did some research but never dealt with this before). They kept in contact the whole time. Surgery day came, they all made us feel welcome again, got Dave settled in. Then Joana rang me straight after the op was done. Informing me how it went & how well behaved Dave was. Answered all my questions , gave me and after care plan. They monitored him throughout the day keeping me posted. Ellie did a fantastic job of looking after Dave and ensuring he got his unicorn treats. Dave is now home, recovering well so far. Thank you for making something quite scary so easy going. Thanks for all your hard work and support, amazing team! Love Kirsty and Dave x

Excellent staff and service throughout the centre. Cannot recommended the vets highly enough. I have had both Ralph and Phillip out to see to my ponies and they have both been so very patient with my pony and mule who both have attitudes and sassy behaviour ?

Really not sure how this place is all 5* reviews. Worst vets ever, vet does not have a clue what theyre doing and wouldn?t listen to any other problems that I advised with my horse as they were only there for a routine appointment, now my horse is permanently lame and I feel this could?ve been prevented if they would have listened to me.

Just wanted to say what a fantastic new vet you have working for you- Phillip has been amazing. Our horse needed an out of hours call out which then resulted in him needing referring to a specialist to have an operation under general anaesthetic. It was such a worrying time for us but made so much easier having the support and knowledge from Phillip. He literally was there every step of the way. The continuity and care was excellent and cannot recommend him enough.
I had a bad experience earlier on in the year that made me lose my confidence with the equine veterinary centre but this time I cannot fault Phillip and the team.
Very professional, supportive and caring.
Thank you Phillip and the equine veterinary centre, I hope Phillip is here to stay ??.

The outcome for my horse was sadly not good but Damian was lovely. Spud was PTS with dignity and understanding and Damian was kind throughout. Thank you x

This place is amazing, kerry has been a friend from the start 10 years ago. Dogs are looked after here. Nothing is too much trouble.
