“Today my elderly mother had a fall in this store. The care that we received was outstanding, there was nothing that was too much trouble. Whilst we waited for the ambulance we were fully supported. A member of staff even offered me a jacket to sit on as I was on the floor with my mother. A massive thank you to you all, everyone was so lovely to us, truly heartwarming.”

“Good shop shame most things were thrown everywhere and looked a mess. Used to love coming here but prices have skyrocketed and no longer a place for a good bargain.. I went for some items I us3d to always buy and prices had doubled so left with nothing.. was worth a browse tho.. but used to love getting gifts and cheeky bargains but not anymore ?”

“Shopped instore at Matalan, Doncaster today. Usually shop online, so haven't been in a store for a while. Pleasantly surprised on the range of clothing, household items etc available.Many of the tills are self service, which are ok if you know what you're doing, but there were friendly staff available when I experienced a couple of difficulties. Just be aware that coathangers are no longer "free" - there is a charge for each one taken!”

“It’s hard to find a negative with this store. Always well staffed and the staff are lovely. Customer services have got it right which is a rarity today. Easy parking and a good selection of goods. Over the last year I have been moving around to ‘cost’ different supermarket chains and M&S, as long as you’re selecting carefully, are on top for price and quality. Especially with veg, bread and milk the essentials are cost effective. My only negative is that some of the more popular ranges of meals have seen a stark sometime disproportionate increase but this is company wide. e.g the Ramen meal deal which had priced me out. But instead of buying twice a week I’ve just reduced to once.Overall, well done M&S”

“The shop is very good it has lots of nice things. I bought a lovely warm bedding set, ready for when the cold nights come. The only thing I saw is that the outside of the range needs a good sweep and tidy.”

“I've had some problems with a seller on ebay and I had to come around 3 times to figure out what went wrong (on the sellers end), everytime I came in, the staff was the most friendly, sympathetic and helpful staff I ever had the pleasure to deal with. They went out of their way to try and help me, and took the time without rushing me. Everytime I tried to try something else they were willing to help me. So nothing short of 5 stars. Thank you.”

“Large shop with lots of barging, large women's section and a good selection of kids clothes, but not a massive section for men, some of the store was a bit of a jumble sale so you have to hunt through the rails, the staff on the checkout were very pleasant”

“I bought a Mattress which i believed to be a real bargain , the mattress was a very odd size and didn't fit the bed so i rang the store for help.This is the critical point with any business , how do they respond to an issue ?Well Becky and Michelle rose to the challenge , they have completely restored my faith in customer service in general , they were superb , they went out of there way to resolve the problem , they kept me informed with what they were doing and they have resolved the problem completely to my satisfaction..They are a credit to NEXT and i thank them for there efforts .Excellent customer service is a rarity in todays environment , i can certainly say that if you approach the situation in the right manner and ask rather than "demand" help, my experience has been fantastic!Thank - you Becky and Michelle !Gary Burns.”

“Love this store I will miss having it near by. The staff in the restaurant are great. It was my quiet escape now I will have no where else to go. I struggle traveling far with health issues this store was ideal for many reasons. I can't belive its closing its doors. Soon we will have nothing left. The shops in town aren't great as it is. No wonder they don't make anything their either to expensive or people don't make enough for the rent. Forced to close. Greed and the Internet. Trouble is you don't know what the quality is like when you look on linei personally like to look at what I am buying. Good luck to the staff. Such a shame.”
