“Typical mountain warehouse shop. Crammed with lots of outdoor goodies. Had to ask for what I was looking for though as it wasn't with the other bags or rucksacks. We required a twin bottle hip bag (shown online) but they were hanging up hidden near the window. Really good bag for just over a tenner. Excellent.”

“4* for the shop lay out and young man who works there very relaxed and easy to navigate our way round to find a suit, he was lovely and very helpful made us feel welcome and was very tentative of our needs my son found the perfect suit for his prom, I give only 1* for the lady manager she wasnt very helpful or welcoming seemed like she was more interested in being busy folding shirts than helping customers out, there was 3 customers in the shop and I dare say we all thought the same”

“I recently severely broke my leg but had to get a new jumper for a family celebration meal out so I visited the Doncaster store and due to mobility problems because of my leg getting from the car to the store was hard work and by time I reached the store I was sweaty out of breath and as soon as got through a member of staff must of seen me struggling as the young lady came upto me asked me if I was OK and asked me if there was any help she could give after getting me a chair to sit on which I explained my visit this young lady then said you wait there sir and I will see what we can sort out for you after about 10-15 minutes wait the young lady came back with a collection of jumpers of different designs, patterns etc and when I saw the one I liked she asked if the colour there was OK or there was a choice of other colours and I asked for for a cream or light colour in an xl size and off she went and returned with one that was perfect I thanked her so much and apologised for being a burden and her reply was its all in the matalan service and customer satisfaction that matters and we are here to help and off I hobbled back to the car what a great service and shop and amazing value for money in all it's products.”

“Large shop with lots of barging, large women's section and a good selection of kids clothes, but not a massive section for men, some of the store was a bit of a jumble sale so you have to hunt through the rails, the staff on the checkout were very pleasant”

“Went to the doncaster store to look for a bigger tent. John assisted with looking for the perfect one, guving advice on what would be the best choices. Also gave us the comparison to the different style pegs you can buy. Even after purcahsing the new tent, he then went the extra mile and brought it to our car. Visited with my family to buy a beautiful dress for my granddaughter.Spoke to a lovely sales assistant called Christina, who was very professional and helpful. She informed us that she had recently started with the company in September of this year, who ever found this person and gave her a job should be very very proud of her, she is friendly, professional, hard working, attentive and well perfect. “Quality for the tops are very good. Nice design and yes I will purchase more. Only thing you do have to wait for delivery which is a bummer and can take a while. When the shirt turned up it was in a little packet and I thought “great been screwed here” but just where they pack it neatly. Sizes are off. I’m normally a Large in most and XL in other rugby tops. But ordered 2xl and fits perfect. So when you order I would go up a size or two.”

Always a nicely laid out shop and the guy who runs it is as helpful as you want him to be, or will just let you browse, no pushy sales. Although a lot of the stuff is out of my price range, that’s not their fault and they do have offers from time to time.”

“Great selection of plus sized clothes, lots for people of different ages, certainly not the archetypal plus size clothes shop where everything is for older people. Not great for disabled people though sadly, you would not get a wheelchair round, & even with crutches or a walker because there are so many clothes rails. Unfortunately I find it easier to shop with them online. ”

“It’s hard to find a negative with this store. Always well staffed and the staff are lovely. Customer services have got it right which is a rarity today. Easy parking and a good selection of goods. Over the last year I have been moving around to ‘cost’ different supermarket chains and M&S, as long as you’re selecting carefully, are on top for price and quality. Especially with veg, bread and milk the essentials are cost effective. My only negative is that some of the more popular ranges of meals have seen a stark sometime disproportionate increase but this is company wide. e.g the Ramen meal deal which had priced me out. But instead of buying twice a week I’ve just reduced to once.Overall, well done M&S”

“Went in to the Doncaster store this morning after finding out last night that my online order had been cancelled without notifying me. These were birthday presents for my twins for tomorrow and as u can imagine I was not at all happy. The ladies in the store were extremely helpful, went round with me trying to locate the items and then honoured the discount code that customer services had sent me. Although I wouldn’t order online again, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to this store. Excellent customer service!”
