Turned up at 4.30pm carvery advertised 12-6pm. Food that was available once we got our serving of meat at 4.45pm. Plated up and enjoyed the food. 10 minutes later went back up for some veg and potatoes and the lights were turned off before 5pm and the food was taken away. After hearing some staff talking about their turkey sandwiches and left overs I managed to get another plate of mash, swede and politely got asked if I wanted some more peas. I then said to the staff member the lads I'm with want some more il tell them to come up and get some. 5 minutes later it was all gone. Our friend wasn't happy about this so went up and asked why the carvery had closed 1 hour earlier than advertised they fed him everything but the carvery. They told him it had all gone and there was only vegetables left, someone went and got him a plate of mash, swede, carrots (that weren't even out on the original carvery????) peas and gravy and stuffing balls and to which my friend replied where did you get this from if it was all gone and scraps left. Also didn't realise they served mac and cheese instead of cauliflower cheese on a carvery??
Chef just froze and one staff member apologised.
Anyway hope the staff enjoy their turkey sandwiches!

Visited for my granddaughters birthday (15/08). Sat in the children's play area, good atmosphere but music was very loud.
Food was ordered, quite a lot of it.
Unfortunately it wasn't worth the wait. My daughter had the mixed grill, but only a 4oz steak not 8 like she ordered. Took so long for them to check and refund that her meal was cold, no offer to reheat or replace.
Food was greasy and warm. Hairs on cutlery and plate, dry chicken, chipped crockery, disgusting egg!!!
We complained to the manageress and she said that we needed to complain to head office. Staff were very un helpful.
We all suffered upset stomachs for next few days. My daughter ended up with food poisoning resulting in a very unpleasant trip to A&E. (The staff at the hospital need a medal)
Definitely spoiled our day out!!! I can honestly say we will not be back!

A little late on this review.
Ordered mixed grill and asked for the steak to be well done, came out rare and the size was as big as a can of beans top. The chicken was equally small and looked like it was given to someone else before me. Burnt sausages and I asked for no peas, yet I received them. When questioned they was dumbfounded.
People getting food before us yet we ordered before them. 6 of them 2 of us.

Came here with my daughter and her friend for food and play
Food was spot on can't fault it and the lady looking after the play area was amazing with the children and very helpful she is definitely an asset to your company 5× isn't enough for her she goes above and beyond with every one I seen her interact with every on in the I asked for her name so guys look out for her name is Sally g
Well done and thankyou for making our experience one to remember we will definitely be dropping in again

This place is quite different to normal brewers fayres / beefeaters. For breakfast you have to order by means of writing how much of something you want on a slip and handing it to the bar. The food was ok - wasn't waiting too long, the atmosphere was not so, as there was hardly anyone there (i think this is because there is a beefeater on the other side of the lake). Only one member of the restaurant staff was on, but this didn't really affect the service. Would come here again.
Vegetarian options: There are veggie sausages on offer.
Kid-friendliness: It is good for families - 2 kids eat free breakfast for every full paying adult
Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible

Went at lunchtime midweek. Food was OK and the price was cheap. However the place is looking really tired and in need of a major refit. Tables were scratched and some seats were split. Not a place to inspire you to keep going back.

We had a fantastic evening meal here. Offer 2 meals for £11.49 which is great value.
The food was nice and hot and we were served by Sally G who was very welcoming.
We look forward to visiting again ?
