Awful service. Was told to travel in to the branch. When we got there, they told us to go home and do it online. Because they could not find the ref no. When we asked if there was any way we could open an account in the bank since we were here in person. The person who we had booked the appointment with Said to us " To be blunt if you want a bank where you want to do things in person and not digitaly then this is not the bank for you!" This lady directed the comment at a pensioner. Disgusting.

Very unhelpful and cold staff. Travelled 30 minutes to get there for my disabled mother to open a bank account, after being told to come in. They turned us away because they could not find the right reference number. They told us a few times that they closed at 3 pm when we arrived at 2:38pm. Unwilling to help, then told us to go home and fill forms online, after we had been told to come in! This branch will kill the High Street. AI has more humanity than this. Head office should close this branch asap they are doing more harm than good for your brand.** reply re the below response**James - we had set up an appointment! 3 weeks prior.

Used to have contactless withdrawal on smartphone now they got rid of it. I had the option to withdraw with some help but waiting is terrible... this Bank is goin downhill... I guess it's time to change banks.

Wouldn't have given them one star went in Saturday to find out counter is closed what's the use in that may as well just close on a Saturday for all the bloody good they are.

Definitely gone down hill in past two years! Abrupt new staff members, c*ap opening hours! And hours that you can pay loose change in is less than the actual opening hours. Say they close on a Wednesday but actually seen this branch open upon a Wednesday? Perplexing to say least! And silly text messages I get to say at least once a week saying they are closed in Doncaster but their Hoyland branch in Barnsley is open which is around 25miles away! Logistically stupid for me or anyone in say Doncaster. Horrible drive to get people to pay money in at the post office instead. Don?t plan to close my account with Barclays but I definitely don?t want to go in branch any time soon. They?re not putting customer needs at the hearts of their business no more. It?s going to be there undoing! Very sad

Worst bank in history, been waiting in the que for an hour to wait another hour to see someone. You have to clear your full day and go early as apparently it is a full day expierence going to this bank! So slow and no staff it is a joke. All this for something i managed to do in 10 mins at Halifax over the phone. But policy at Barclays is they have to waste your whole day and dome more days on the phone phirst to their incompitent staff. Usless. Worst bank in the world, just go to Halifax!!!

Terrible service - went round and round - my wish for information was not met. the more I deal with Barclays from over seas the closer I am getting to close my account . If you have an automated service , it has to work and it has to be quick , or let me phone the branch direct. A waste of time
