Chips perfect and fresh, done in beef dripping. Fish perfect. Remember to add some scraps to your mushy peas. Salt and Vinegar your own food; Tip salt n Vinegar on top then close and flip box to salt n Vinegar underneath also.

Portions miniscule. I want a portion of haddock, not just a goujon. Wetherby Whaler and Murgatroyds beat Whitby's hands-down I'm afraid.

Best fish and chips iv ever had love the curry sauce its different to traditional curry sauce what you get most places never had takeaway so can't comment on that but why would you want to take it away when you can sit and eat it fresh

Great restaurant for fresh fish and chips. A good choice of batter and fish type. Nice and relaxing atmosphere, child friendly, which is great.
Staff were lovely and we could relax and enjoy our evening. This was my first visit and look forward to eating with you again soon

We came as a group of three and were seated promptly.
However, it did take quite a while to get served, having to ask someone walking past if we could order. They didn't return for another five minutes. We ordered drinks and food at the same time, with one of us ordering a latte which came a couple of minutes later.
About 5-10 minutes later we received our food orders, 1x sausage and chips and 2x haddock and chips. The food was incredibly good and quite hot, with the fish tasting especially nice. We asked for some ketchup to which they said they would bring some. We were never brought any ketchup.
Although, we had not received two drinks thus two of us receiving our food before we had our drinks, despite only ordering soft drinks. These remaining drinks took a few minutes to arrive after our food.
Overall, the food was really good but massively let down by very poor and very slow service.
