The sales staff were very helpful but we chose a colour from a different range so the invoice said taupe and we ordered blue we were assured we would get confirmation via e mail of the correct colour but had to make a second journey back to corton wood to achieve this. Although the change was done with no fuss it was a shame we had to go back to get it done.

I have been trying to find my grandparents are comfy, practical power recliner with high back rest, I came across the La-Z-Boy sofa and it suited every requirement, we actually placed an order with another branch. However, my grandma 90 years old wasn?t sure about the colour she picked. I got in touch with the Barnsley branch and Susie kindly let me borrow the swatch to take home to my grandparents. This has made life so much easier for them mobility wise & choosing the colour in their home!!Being in sales myself I take customer service seriously and many other companies would definitely not let you take a swatch home. SCS at Cottonwood have been amazing thank you very much, Susie ??????

We have been today to cortonwood bought 2 3 seater recliners sofas lazy boy the lady called suzie were a lovely sales assistantShe showed us many sofas she was not pushy we chose what we wanted suzie sorted out the payment delivery and colour choices we wanted suzie made us a coffee every thing was very pleasant no pushy sales talk absolutely brilliant highly recommend scs

Well visiting this store was an experience. Never in my life have I felt as pressured and uncomfortable in a store whilst browsing as I have in this one.From walking in the store in a relaxed mood just wanting to have a browse and pick out the right sofa in my own time (was about 30 seconds) I was approached by a female member of staff who worked there who may as well have been attached by a lead to my leg whilst looking.I eventually walked off and found a sofa that had interested me so I asked for more details. What a mistake that was, the lady again appeared from nowhere, sat on the sofa across from me with her feet up and basically if she had my bank card she would have ordered it for me without any say I felt that pressured. Also raising her voice when I asked her to repeat a question that I had misheard. Rude, incompetent and quite frankly it came across as very desperate for a sale.Safe to say I?ll be buying from elsewhere, what a joke. I?m bewildered to say the least.

Avoid cortonwood bought a sofa tried to charge me double the price added loads of extras without asking when questioned the lady said she had explained all the extras which she clearly did not

Exceptionally poor shopping experience. I was hardly through the door before 2 aggressive sales people tried to get me to engage in what I wanted. Despite explaining I just wanted to have a look first I was stopped by sales team a further 5 times trying the hard sell before giving up half way round second floor. Even then one of the team tried again as I was walking out. Awful, does this hard sell approach work on anyone?

Firstly, the products are fine but... we can't give more than one star because the service we have received to date has been really poor. We ordered furniture and three floor coverings. To summarise our experience: 1) they have pushy salesmen following you around the store despite telling them 'we are only browsing' (which is code for 'please leave me alone'), 2) we felt extremely pressured into putting down a deposit as it was 'last day of the sale' only to find the product was even cheaper the day after, 3) our orders were put through incorrectly leading to confusion and constant hassle by head office team who don't communicate with the store, 4) bad advice given and ordering errors by the flooring surveyor meaning we now have an awkward step at the door threshold between two rooms, 5) experienced significant delays in getting the floor fitting and many calls to head office could not resolve this issue, 6) frustration because of the inability to call the store direct to deal with issues, and 7) they ignore formal complaint emails and are not willing to apologise or learn from the problems we have had.Shop at SCS at your risk! It will take a lot for SCS to regain our confidence for us to shop there again.

Appalling customer service from start to finish. Misleading and misadvising customers from start to finish. Even got told carpets were not covered under warranty unless you buy underlay. Limited carpet fitters available and limited flexibility no evening or weekend slots. Cancelled fitting and expected to wait weeks with no carpets in house. Couldn?t even be bothered to call and notify me that there no slots to rebook available had to go to store to find out.

Called into SCS to look around and get some ideas for refurbishment of lounge. We were met by a really helpful and friendly salesman, Phil , who went over and above expectations to help us choose a new lounge suite and carpet. Various options were put to us both in respect of quality and cost. Rather than going to look at products in other stores we chose and ordered there and then. We were never made to feel under pressure and believe Phil, with his well honed sales technique, is an asset to SCS. We would happily recommend SCS to family and friends.

I took delivery of my new suite on the 17th Jan 2022, having ordered for delivery before Christmas. (spent in excess of 3000 pounds) granted pandemic etc etc but I waited patiently.Went for all the bells and whistles with regard to after care etc.The suite was delivered with a damaged area on the seating area - granted only a small area but nevertheless damaged.The delivery guy took photos and assured me someone would get back to me within 5 days.I also submitted a query on line and same thing - we will be in touch within 5 days.I'm still waiting for someone to just get in touch - extremely poor after sales. Once they have their money (upfront and in advance - paid over 3k back in July) its as though they don't care - no aftercare at all - and I paid for that extra. Fool me once ScS shame on you.... you know the rest
