We highly recommend the Ship. The two guys that run it are so welcoming and friendly and the food is amazing. Home made veggie lasagne was gorgeous . Thankyou ?? and huge portions too. Well worth a visit

Visited here on Friday night with my wife. We both had fish and chips which were absolutely perfect. Portions were generous and perfectly cooked,all for a very reasonable price. Staff are very friendly as were the other customers. Can't fault and will certainly be going again.

Rang and booked a table,specifically asked if there were vegan options and was told yes.Got there the only vegan thing available was a vegan pie,no starter no dessert,so disappointed. Ordered the pie only to be told they hadn't got any,nothing else suitable on menu,thought i was goin to sit there with nothing to eat!! Ended up having to order a Sunday dinner with no meat,couldn't have mashed potatoes, so was given a plate of peas,green beans,3 roast potatoes and two slices.of parsnip. It was tasteless the other's said the same about their meals.It was a birthday meal to celebrate my dad's 82nd birthday, what a let down and a waste of money. The staff on the other hand were lovely.

Visited for Sunday Dinner last Sunday. Service was slow and staff continuously bumped into my husband's chair to get to other tables with no apology. We all had the roast and it was disappointing, yes the portion is a good size but the roast potatoes were hard, yorkshire pudding was burnt in the edges and the meat was tasteless and didn't like it had been carved from a joint. I mentioned that my husband didn't like broccoli and not to put any on his plate, the waitress advised the veg would come separately, unfortunately there was one bowl of veg for 4 and the broccoli was mixed in. We also ordered a side of cauliflower cheese, which was tasteless and mushy. All 4 of us were disappointed with the food.

turned up to very warm welcoming staff they are fabulous and the food is of very high standard would highly recommend going great valve for money definitely going back again Billy and tanya from Manchester.

First time visiting since new owners and it was lovely. The interior is stunning and nothing like I expected. Friendly staff and fast service. Good choice of food and a good kids menu with colouring. Big portions and tasty meals. I had a jacket potato with tuna and cheese, my partner had a bacon cheese burger and our daughter had a kids pizza. All delicious and very filling.

Called today, Father?s Day with our Harley Biker friends , The new owners were very friendly and chatty, so welcoming, the lady that served our table was very helpful with the menu, compliments also to the chef, the steak pie was to die for, we all said it was the best we have ever had, mash was fluffy Roasties were delicious and full of flavour and so were the veg and roasted parsnips.
Definitely be coming back , maybe even for Gay Bingo ? on Thursday.
Thanks again for a much welcomed visit.
