Great views but they don't seem to be able to do a decent coffee. Also it seems hard work when they do.

We had Sunday lunch and we can?t fault the friendly efficient service, tye food was presented hot and very tasty, can highly recommend a visit. Tye beer garden is lovely, plenty of seats a good play area for children, be mindful it?s near a river.
There was a vocalist on this afternoon in the garden and a lovely ice cream shop next door worth a visit

A hidden gem with lots of character. Large rolling garden down to the river, lovely patio area and has a great ice cream parlour within the grounds. The food was delicious and we got quick service with a smile. Would recommend to all as there is a good play area at the back for children too. Will definitely be going back ?

First time visit. Won't be the last! Great service. Staff were impeccable from start to finish. Oh and the food. Just something else. Especially the steak pie.(too much for my partner lol) With seasonal veg and chips. Note. Probably the best chips i've had in a pub setting. Actual thick cut chips. Not the frozen variety. If i were to be a tad picky. Could maybe do with more gravy. But to be fair. I'm sure if i'd have asked. The staff would have been accommodating. Still worth the 5 stars awarded.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Ben and his team at the King William , we booked online for afternoon tea and after a slight faux pas , ended up having a fab lunch and his charm worked wonders as we had two bottles of free fizz, it was a friends birthday! The food was delicious as well as amazing mocktails, coffees and brownies! Ambience was fab as well as the live music, the sun shone and we had a super day ! It?s a no brainer that we will be back! Thank you so much x

Loved my brunch at the King William. I had the truffled wild mushrooms, spinach and poached eggs on ciabatta. Big portion! It was £10.95 which I thought was pretty decent for the quality of produce. See you next week!

Booked evening meal for 10 people an hour after ordering we were still waiting, the food was ok, an hour and three quarters later, hadn?t offered dessert or coffee, consequently we left, 3 waiting staff, rushing about, obviously not enough staff, very disappointed.

I just had a lovely brunch at The King William. What a treat - wild mushrooms, spinach and poached eggs with truffle oil on ciabatta. Delish! Well done team.

Absolutely fantastic food. We were a party of 8 adults , 1 child and 2 babies. I must praise all the staff serving us. The weather was hot and the manager was very accommodating moving us from a table that was too hot for the children. Lovely outside garden with a lovely play area for children. Thank you for making our evening so special.

I would have given 5 stars across the board but after leaving a generous tip, it was discovered that a 10% gratuity had already been added to the bill. Should have checked it really :(

Spent a great day at the Scaftonbury festival in July 2025. I?m a little biased because we was invited to play there as a band however the service we enjoyed from 1 particular member of staff was exceptional. Massive thank you to Codie who played an absolute blinder on the day and I?m sure I wasn?t the only person who had the privilege of meeting you. Well done to everyone involved??
