Been here before with a friend, was very nice and welcoming. However... the customer service has gone really down hill. I brought my family here in December and it was not the same place. We weren't given menus and when we asked, we were met with a 'cba' attitude from one of the managers!? . Young staff seemed to be running around with food and drinks whilst the older manager seemed to just be stood talking to her friend?? Waited 15 minutes for drinks and around 35 minutes for food and it wasn't even that busy. However for the food i cant really complain.

We have been midweek to the Travellers several times in the past and have always been highly satisfied. We visited last Sunday and were very disappointed. My dad and myself had the Sunday lunch. We chose turkey. The turkey was not in slices which you would expect from a joint. It was bits/ lumps and appeared to have been heated up in gravy. (Probably leftovers from Christmas!) The roast potatoes were inedible. I could have built a stone wall out of them. Veg and Yorkshire were fine. We did not stay for pudding as we felt very cheated after our main meal. ??????

We were staying in the area over Christmas so called in for a drink and it seemed so welcoming that we decided to go there the next evening for dinner. The place is very clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly although not the most efficient service as we finally got seated about half an hour after our booking time (although there were at least 2 tables for 2 available) and was then waiting another half an hour for food after ordering and even after most people had left the restaurant area by the time we were seated - 1 star lost. The menu had a good choice but there were 3 dishes unavailable, 2 of which was to be our first choices and there was also no real ale on tap for both the nights we were there (although we were told on the first night that the ale would be back on for the second night which it wasn't) - second star lost. Another big problem that we didn't account for was that the place was packed solid in the bar area because there was a show going on at the music venue next door of a Queen tribute band. It was was so loud and noisy with people and a lot of drunks everywhere shouting to get over each others' voices which completely spoiled the dining experience. At one stage one of the drunks just had to start shouting out at the top of his voice a very loud and very long Freddie Mercury "Ay-Oh" rendition - you know the one I mean! This was not curtailed or stopped by the staff or management which by then had finished our hopefully nice evening out - third star lost. My advice is go here for a nice dinner out (menu and drinks permitting) but make sure there is no event going on at the Birdwell Music venue next door first or expect more of the same.

Had a group booking here last night for Christmas dinner and It was amazing. Each course was delicious, the staff were brilliant and did a great job serving all forty five of us. The atmosphere in the whole place was fun and festive, can?t wait to return.

Booked a meal here for mum in laws birthday.The food,the service,the atmosphere was all fantastic.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.A special shout out to our lovely waitress tonight who was so friendly and polite and efficient.we will definitely be back sion.?

Tried out the lunch time special two courses main and dessert for £15.95 I had scampi and salad. I asked if it was possible to have extra salad instead of chips, I was informed that it was no problem. My husband had fish and chips, both were plenty full ,well presented and tasty. Ladies serving were both attentive, polite and friendly. Having eaten the main meal we found ourselves full and declined the desert. Our lovely waitress said why not take your dessert home after all it's in with the price. So that's what we did, we opted for a nice piece of cheesecake. Well that's tea sorted.

Would not recomend coming here. The food was average and for the price it should have been outstanding. The price of drinks was awful. £6 for a pint of peroni and £9 for a double vodka. After complaining the the manager with blinde hair and glasses that the meat was slightly undercooked we were met with a disgusting attitude and a reluctancy to help. Bad customer service. Manager should not have a job as this isnt the only thing ive heard.

Really felt like I needed to write a review as we had an amazing time and this place is fab! . We arrived as a large group of 18 for bottomless brunch and the service was fantastic. Great atmosphere, really clean and well kept, loved the decor. Very polite staff and they were quick and prompt with our orders. Food was definitely the best I have had in ages, large portion, I highly recommend the beer brisket flatbread, it was delicious! We will definitely be returning here! Thankyou for a great afternoon!

Visited here Saturday evening. We pre booked as we were going to a music venue up the road. It was wonderful the staff very polite, we were seated quickly & drinks order taken & arrived quickly. We ordered & food came out prompt. The presentation was lovely, fresh & very tasty. There was so much we couldnt eat it all. I had the fettuccine with chicken & choritzo & my friend had goats cheese & blueberry rissotto both served with garlic ciabatta bread. 10/10 will definately be back & they serve Madri always a plus for us lol xx
