This is a great building society.The service is amazing and they cannot help you enough.Summertime 2023 the company gave back to the people who bank with them and received £100 in to their accounts which is unique because other banks and societies do not do that either.I fully endorse this building society

After setting up an account for my daughter online I went into the branch to show ID. The girl behind the counter with blonde hair, who's name i sadly didn't catch was very lovely and helpful not only on the phone but in person. She made my experience very easy and pleasant. ??

After visiting the Barnsley branch I was very impressed with the level of detail taken by the Manager and his staff during the COVID pandemic, whilst still providing a professional and friendly service. The protocol in place at this branch is exceptional. I would like to see more businesses take the safety of their customers as seriously as this one does.

I don't understand any of the rules here. Its a bank so you would expect them to deal with cash, but they will only take 5 bags of coins, and you can't deposit notes at the the desk. You can only deposit notes at the machine but the machine won't take any crinkled notes. So basically if you come to the bank infrequently to deposit your money this isn't the place for you. I ll just spend my change in future. Less hassle.

I went into the barnsley branch for the first time since moving to Penistone with money to put into my account, I had quite alot and some £ coins , the girl behind the counter told me to bag and also I had to sort out the old £coins to the new ones, after a look of bewilderment from myself she eventually told me she would do it, but in future I have to bag them myself, I asked her for some spare bags so I could do this and she said she didnt have any spare, so I said with this been a bank I thought she would have some and the cheeky little Madame answered me back with "well acutally were a building society, oh I said same difference, " not really" she said then she answered me back again with attitude, I said to her Really your going to carry this on to a customer, no reply just a stern look, so Janette, thankyou for making my first visit to your branch an unwelcome one, I suggest next time your having a bad day, ring in sick! I wont be back, I will travel through to Huddersfield next time!
