Room good, breakfast a let down, buffet style, with issues slow to top up trays, not over hot, but thats the same issue when buffet type.

We stay regularly when attending Barnsley Youth Choir concerts and are always completely satisfied.Food & drinks: Breakfast is very comprehensive and good. Toby Inn next door if required.

Staff are great, location is good if you travel by car.Food is just ok. Just like hotel warmed up food, which it is.The biggest issue I have is that it is now dog friendly. Folks walk their dog right by the windows where you eat, not great watching a dog do it's business as you eat.Dog hairs are all over the carpets in the hallways, and lifts stink of wet dog in the rain.Lovely.

I would actually really appreciate a phone call from the manager.I never have in my life been treated so horrendously, clearly the night manager had a problem with females and especially irish females.We came home at 11pm from an event - were told to keep the noise down as people sleeping on same floor - lies as these were meeting rooms.The aggressive nature and the bothersome attitude from him for us ordering drinks at the 24 hour bar was horrendous.Then we had to stop playing pool - no curfew on table.We did order pizza - when they arrived he informed us we had to take to the room again VERY aggressively - there were 10 of us, I was trying to divide it up for the different rooms before moving off. He was not allowing me the chance to do this. All because he didn?t like the smell of pizzaBear in mind we did order food from the restaurant earlier that day and it did take almost 2 hours to arrive and that was only for 3 people, can u imagine how long it would take at 11pm for 10 people:There was a group earlier in the day eating their own packed lunches at the lobby, loads of rubbish and wrappers left scattered but that was ok, Cus they were not irish.That evening i was alone with my child, and the barrage of aggressive abuse I received from that manager - this was nothing short of him picking on a woman on her own, in a vulnerable position. Even my child was upset by this - why did he wait til he got me alone to start harassing me??I was taking my child to bed, and instead I got abused by a man.Next up - breakfast - I have a wonderful video of the zero offering for breakfast that there was. I would love to share it with you and also request a refund for the breakfast I paid for as I then has to take my children to another restaurant and pay for breakfast again.Quite possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have travelled the world.I am so embarrassed that I moved to this hotel from original hotel booked and moved other guests with me.Nothing short of absolutely disguisting behaviour from your night manager, he clearly did not want to do any work and made us feel unwelcome.He at one point told me to go outside to eat in the rain- how pathetic. I just needed a few minutes to split the pizza and sides up between the 5 rooms we were staying in.Your staff need trained on policy?s - child protection, harassment, manners and overall customer service.

Nice clean budget hotel and served a purpose for us (concert at Sheffield).Had a twin room, very clean, lovely mattress topper on bed.Buffet Breakfast ok and everything hot.

Bar area understaffed. Fault in room reported but nothing done. In restaurant asked for mango chutney with my curry was given tartar sauce!Noteworthy details: Staff need to do better

Good location, food was okay.Check in speed was extremely slow, older couple in front needed full support to check in, not their fault but additional staff member would have been goodRoom was clean and spacious, bathroom and shower was decent.Bed was horrendous, there's a firm mattress then a rock - definitely felt like sleeping on a rock!Kettle in room didn't work.

The location of this is very bad, very far from any stores and the city center. The rooms are quite small and the bathroom doesn't have any doors and the pillow is quite hard. One nice thing is the services of the employee is very nice ?There's also a pool table in the reception(Very fun)Honorable mention: View is quite nice. Can see the train tracks
