The room was clean, warm and a good size and there was free parking close by. Self check in was also straightforward. The main bug bears were the pillows which were the lumpiest and most uncomfortable I have had experienced in a hotel. Also there were people slamming doors and running along the corridors and talking and crying and god knows what, late at night for some time. Usually one could call the front desk staff to complain but there was no one to complain to! Guess it was my bad luck to have had revellers on my floor that night.

Stayed here before (2,5 years ago)Used to be run by the pub, but isn't anymore.Don't let the area think it is a bad hotel, once you enter through the backdoor it's a completely different world.Had no trouble getting the key and the room is similar as last time, clean and modern.Found a pair of cuffs hanging on the lights above the bed, unfortunatly I am visiting by myself so have no use for them ? someone had fun for sure...Pub stopped serving food, which is a shame because it was really good, but it's still a good hotel for its price.Pics are from last visit...Rooms: Looks nice, maybe I'm a bit of a perfectionist... bathtub needs some fixing, and one complete light is not working at all... and the others are hanging quite looseAnd maybe reposition the shower head, the position it's in is in an angle, so the water goes all over the place, and you can't reposition it.

The rooms here are really lovely, almost boutique-like but I have to be honest and say I wouldn't return because we did not sleep a wink! Noisy bar opposite which stayed open late and people gathered til the early hours right outside our window, talking loudly and quite rowdy. Good location with an easy commute to Meadowhall though.

We stayed in the family room. Very large room eith comfortable beds. Lots of wardrobe and cupboard storage. Bathroom modern and decorated nicely. Only problem was poor WiFi and the TV did not pick up any reception.

Currently 2.05am and I am meant to be a on a business over night stay and I have 2 rooms adjacent to me filled with literally smackheads who are causing anti social behaviour and speaking loudly. Does this hotel really let people like this stay at this venue, would not recommend this venue to any professional individual.

Large room, great value and simple to check in. No staff or reception area but actually made it easier. Location was perfect as right on the main high street and parking was easy and secure. Beds comfy and nice simple room

From the outside its not much to look at but the rooms are newly refurbished and very nicely furnished. The bathroom was large, very nice and clean and checking in and out was easy. Right in the centre of town but unfortunately we wasn't aware that the town hall opposite on Wednesday mornings has a very loud bootcamp/workout session of somekind going on for about 3 hours with really, really loud pumping music. Could almost not hear it when the windows were closed but wasn't what I was expecting to hear before 6am. Also unfortunately for us they were re-doing the main road which was outside of our room so from about 12 till 2am they were digging up the road.Rooms: To a high standardWalkability: In the centre close to everything. Plenty of buses.Food & drinks: Separate bar downstairs

Family room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Room very spacious and well decorated. Instructions perfect and easy to follow.Great price and great location and look forward to staying here again.Rooms: Very spacious and clean, very comfy beds.Food & drinks: Plenty of pubs and food places on the doorstep.

The room we booked for three nights was clean and comfortable but I am big and the bed was too small for the pair of us. I asked if we could upgrade to a larger room for the remaining two nights and the management were very helpful. If you are there for more than one night I suggest opt for a bigger room. You can book with the hotel directly and this was the cheapest option. You are slap in the middle of Wombwell so expect some traffic noise, but the window insulation was good. There is a Wetherspoons 2 minutes away which gives good value for food. There are no staff on site. You receive a keycode for the external door in your correspondence and on your arrival day another code to access a key safe to get your room key. Sounds strange but it works. Dedicated parking just behind the hotel. There are no breakfast facilities but a couple of bakeries and coffee shops nearby. We would stay there again.

Good location. We had a very spacious room. Hygiene was excellent. Good value for money. The hotel works with keylocks for check-in. We think it?s a convenient system. But we were travelling through and staid for 1 day.
