John in the kitchen really knows what he is doing with his meat. It tasted delicious, I couldn't stop putting it in my mouth. Was really big as well I didn't think I could fit it all in. Once I finished I felt really satisfied and couldn't believe how amazing it was. Only thing I would say is it was a bit messy as when I finished I noticed it was all over me with some even dribbling down my chin. Thankyou John for ensuring I had a great time. Best steak pie in Doncaster

Beautiful little pub, booked last minute for 9 of us and the food was absolutley beautiful. Good customer service from the staff too . Will be back thankyou.

The food was good, but not great. I would say some was gastropub fare and some was chain pub equivalent. The service was nit great, staff served prawn cocktail with bread and no butter and then later someone had it for a main and was presented the dish with no bread, when questioned the server said it doesn't come with bread, but it clearly states it on the menu. The servers were slow, didn't seem to know what they were doing, were not competent etc. Both my husband and myself have worked in the industry previously and were not impressed by the service.
Overall I would return, but only to drink in the outside area.

Called here after a day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Followed ratings. Not all disappointed. Food was lovely and good value. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Visited twice with family on my trip over from Australia. Had the Scampi and it was spot on, plenty of it too ( unlike some places ). The girls serving were helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. Very popular in the evenings so i would book a table, in the small restaurant, or you could grab a table in the bar area. Good range of proper English beers also on tap.

Had Sunday lunch paid for large which had one slice of meat,one roast potato and one piece of broccoli each
Tasty food but wonder what you get for the small dinner advertised?
