Just want to highlight the excellent care I have just received @ Preston Grove medical centre 30/11/2023. I Phoned at 9am this morning- I was offered an appointment for 11am,seen at 11.15. Prescription was ready in 10 mins. Some people are so quick to complain about our NHS at times- so I just wanted to highlight that I received 5 ? treatment today- thank you x

It's nitpicking but choose one of the following. "We currently experience a high volume of calls" or "We are experiencing a high volume of calls"It's not "We are currently experience a high volume of calls"Hearing this once every 30 seconds whilst waiting grates when you're on hold for 8 minutes.

Further updateFor last 4 months I have been bleeding from my rear, bowel movements are all over the place and has been steadily getting worse leaving me in alot of pain, I saw a locom once 2 months ago who gave me a poo test kit and asked for a urine test. I posted poo test kit off but apparently was never recieved. I dropped urine test back in and a few days later when I checked there was no record of it.I have tried to get appointments but permently engaged. On Tuesday I arrived at my limb centre in preston Lancashire and informed the lady dealing with my prosthetics who has known me since 2015 that I was not feeling very well and hadn't been for sometime. She called the Doctor and I explained the situation, my blood pressure was low at 95,he took blood for numerous tests and arranged xrays within an hour.On Wednesday I recieved the blood and xray results, the news was not very good and the doc is arranging to get me seen by the right people within a couple of weeks, I then returned home to yeovil to inform my wife of the news. The only thing in common with both locations is they start with preston apart from that they couldn't be farther apart.Preston grove medical centre wouldn't understand the phrase "Duty of Care" in any form.UPDATEOver a week ago I was asked by the Preston hospital in Lancashire where I am looked after in several departments including ENT, PROSTHETIC LIMBS to get my GP to pass a referral as a matter of urgency to the eye dept so they can sort my cataract out, which I did and was told it would be done.Today I heard from the eye dept at Preston hospital to say they have not yet recieved the referral, I immediately rang Preston grove only to say they are closed for training which I don't breve for a minute.I was diagnosed with having a cataract in November 2022, I today April the 27th have just recieved a call from the surgery giving me an appointment to see the doctor on may 31st 2023.To me a cataract is quite urgent as been getting worse and worse since november plus my eye is very painful and on top of that I am a above knee amputee so walking with blurred vision in one eye is not good but with this surgery 7 months is the normal waiting time to see a doctor. Just glad it wasn't a minor issue with the heart stents I have fitted otherwise might have had to wait even longer....

I came to see a lovely Dr by the name of Dr Dennett. I felt she listened to my concerns. She was very professional. She has set a plan in place for further tests. Considering primary care is under great pressures. Extra appointment was needed for bloods which were added to an appointment I already have- saves 2 trips to the surgery.Thank you.

So sorry to rate this so low. But I?ve been trying to access a GP since Friday. No appointments. Had to wait for online system to open 8am on Monday. Still couldn?t access it on Monday, so I drove to the surgery waited on doorstep until 8.30 opening time, still couldn?t secure an appointment. Reception took details, I had to go away and wait for a phone call, which didn?t come for another 5 hours. I was feeling quite poorly, I went home to bed and then somehow missed the call as I slept. Didn?t get another call. I?d missed it. It?s now 8am Wednesday and I?ve just read that online system doesn?t open till tomorrow- (Thursday). Still not seen a Doctor. Had no treatment. Still poorly..

If I could give 0 stars I would. You cannot call the doctor to get an appointment and have to do this via the online service. I have tried for a whole week every day to log this and each time it has said this service is closed. Once you do then get through, it takes another week for them to even get in touch with you. Once you speak to them they then give you an appointment which is another month away!! If you want to at least get through to someone, don?t other with this surgery.

Absolutely disgusting , I have been unwell for a month and I?m now trying to see a doctor. The receptionist said my illness didn?t make the criteria for an appointment even though I had had a text to make a an appointment from doctor Boyland. You have to book on the online system guess what !!! It was down due to high demand you call the surgery wait in queue 10 calls long only to find the most orquard of unhelpful donkeys on the phone. Like most I have paid all my national insurance since I started work. Use the health system very little, only to find I?m on my own with my illness. My advice really find a new doctors I?m sure not all are as terrible as this one.!!!!!!!!

We moved to Somerset from London and found a GP Practice that is modern and IT literate. It is easy to use the Online Consult and leaves space for the less IT savvy to call and make appointments with a receptionist. The GP's are very responsive and efficient. The pharmacist is very helpful. Thank you for your hard-work.
