I went in recently and the lady on the checkout didn?t say anything to me. Not even a hello. I said thank you and bye to her and she still didn?t say anything. It was so awkward!! On the other hand there?s a young girl that tends to be on there and she always makes an effort and says have a nice day. So it depends on who you get really.

As ever, everything you need, nothing you don't, and all at sensible prices. Yes, there are some items you could probably find cheaper elsewhere, but by the time you've driven to that elsewhere, any potential savings have been negated by the cost of getting there, so why would you??But, the new look store at Houndstone serves my purpose very nicely thank-you, it has an enlarged freezer section AND now sells clothing and associated items, what's not to like??What DOES brass me off is that the pond life still persist in stealing from these places, why?? It's not like everything is stinking dear? Anyway, nuff said, Poundland get my vote every time!

This review is for the staff here. Ive lived many places including London Essex, Hertfordshire and all over Somerset the staff here are the most polite ive ever encountered at a poundland. Good size store as well
