Very bad experience .I think we will get an appointment and required treatment only after we were in critical dying stage ...just wasting time ..worst service

Not going to lie peeps, very bad. I've been waiting to have a problem addressed and sorted for over 2 years and I've got absolutely nowhere with it. Seen about 3 or 4 different people and was sent to the hospital with the wrong information. They don't seem to care really. I'm also diabetic and can't get kidney tests and things easily, it's all long. You do all the work, they don't help at all. Some of the reception is well rude as well. Also ask my GP gets closed down, I'm in the middle of the convo with someone trying to sort something that's never been sorted and the convo gets closed down. Then you have to go on again another day. I've lived in other areas and I know it's not a good enough standard for people. If people don't care about their job, they should quit. I would suggest everyone starts taking some vitamins and just call 999 if you're dying.

Reception team has a ridiculous way of dealing with patients, if you turn up in person both front of house are busy on the phone and will continue to be on the phone even when the reception area is full. And when you do call up it takes a solid 5 minutes for them to answer the phone even if your the only person on the line at any time of the day. Needs a better system.

I don't know what happened at Penn hill surgery, I had a blood test. Was given the results from the Receptionist. Was told I was now pre diabete ?. So there was nothing mentioned about what to do about it. So called back later, asked Receptionist so what happened now. Well I could ask a health Coach to call you. Which they did. But I had to ask/chase this service myself. It's not good enough Penn hill Surgery. You need to improve this.

Poor quality of service. I recently started taking the contraceptive pill and was due a pill review. Fair enough, the first time I needed to visit and get it checked I wasn't able to make it. The second time, I waited 1hr and a half, in which I got up and left. However, I then received a phone call 5 seconds down the road saying that I had missed the appointment. As a result, it's been difficult picking up my prescription. I texted in late September to get my pill review appointment sorted and was told the earliest they could do was the 27th of October. I then went to pick up my contraceptive pill today and was told they had completely wiped my pill off my NHS records and was telling all the pharmacies to refuse to prescribe me any, even emergency prescriptions. I now have no way of taking my pill until the 27th of October, which is ridiculous because it is required EVERYDAY. Now I have to restart my pill which is ridiculous. Bad manners, no communication and poor service. They never have any open spaces on their website to write a request, situations almost never get resolved. I am going to change surgeries.

I contacted the GP because i had to speak to 111 over the weekend due to my symptoms worsening, I asked to speak to a doctor ASAP and the receptionist put a request on the ask my gp as for some reason it never opened for requests on that day? However. The receptionist put my request down as ?not urgent? and I was waiting a long time for a doctor to call me, at this point I got worse and had to go down to the Emergency department.I am disgusted at how the receptionist had handled this as it should of been treated as urgent considering I had to ring 111

As someone else has said, a few years ago this was a well run caring practice, sadly no more. I thought Ryalls Park was bad, but Penn Hill has overtaken them. Apparently I have a heart problem that needs hospital treatment - 3 weeks later I am still waiting for a referral and have been told that I have been referred by receptionists, but the hospital have heard nothing and now no one answers the phone at the surgery.

I am not a patient at this surgery. Thank goodness. My mother is and I was absolutely stunned by the insensitive receptionist yesterday on the phone who was the most unempathetic person I have come across and I will be addressing this with the surgery. Elderly patients deserve respect and understanding not to feel like they are a nuisance. You should feel ashamed of yourselves...... this doesn't deserve one star!!!

Just recently I have been quite unwell with a high temperature and a bad chesty cough etc.Over the last 2 weeks the surgery has provided me with 3 appointments to see different doctors and arranged hospital tests. Not only that, but a prescription given to me didn't suit me personally as I would have had to stay out of daylight for quite a while. They changed the prescription for me.All very impressive and appreciated.

This was a well run surgery a couple of years ago, but not anymore. Very sad. Doubt if its much better if you work there. Some of the staff are kind, so it's a shame for the community and the team.
