Nationwide have been so helpful, lovely staff in the Yeovil branch. I've just changed my bank to them, I wish I'd done it years ago! I had a question yesterday after 5pm and rang the main Nationwide helpline, again great service from a real person. Keep going!

Dealing with nationwide since becoming registered blind has been a perfect nightmare.
They do not seem to understand the difficulty of those of us partially excited although will send out statements in large print but the telephone service is terrible.
Recently I tried to ask for a certificate of interest on a savings account Which I have closed during the year due to the difficulties.
If you have such a saving account you have to ask for the certificate of interest each year rather than the clever computer being told to send you one every year which should be child?s play so now ring Head office and go through All manner of options only to be told this request can only be placed online impossible for me or at branch
Call the nearest branch where you can barely hear the conversation because of the noise and I told that they will send an email to the head office asking the head office to send me the certificate
Being registered blind age approaching 89 with various other ailments nonetheless I have better things to do with my time and fight through this solar system. The account is now closed and I shall not have to go through all this again.
Contrast with the local office of another building society is enormous where a simple phone call does all I need to do.

I have been a member of the Nationwide Building Society in Yeovil for over 24 years. In that time they have handled our mortgage, our investments, our banking arrangements. They are an amazing team that provide that personal touch on every occasion. They have managed my financial affairs professionally and with my interests at heart. hates bitcoin, will shut your account down for using it despite it being a legal currency. Thanks to the computer doctor I now have a crypto account and bankers cant charge me or steal my funds.

My wife has been a client for over 40 yrs and me for over 30 yrs at this branch. We have seen staff come and go, but all the way through this period we have nothing but praise for all of them. The staff are always polite, cheerful and of course helpful. Even now as we have become OAP's nothing has changed; even the smallest thing is no trouble and we would just like to say thankyou putting up with our trials and tribulations over the years
