I recently attended an event at Lanes, that had exclusive tickets, however this was not exclusive so many of the drinkers who attended the establishment could freely join in the activities that were hosted.
I thought this was unfair, and and for a refund.
I was simply refused.

Very pleasant stay. Extremely clean throughout and I would highly recommend a stay here. Attentive staff and great food in the restaurant. One staff member "Jo" is exceptionally commendable. Great service, always happy and attentive with great knowledge for recommendations regarding the restaurant menu and easy conversation. A true hospitality professional, which is consistent with each staff member I crossed paths with.
Thank you for making my stay enjoyable.

Went for Sunday lunch as they do a great offer of 2 courses for £25 or 3 for £30. There was a good selection of starters, mains, and deserts we decided to have the three courses. The starter I had was 3 chicken wings, which were best eaten by hand. These were so hot that they nearly burned your fingers. The main I had was roast beef, which was not very pink, and the plate was cold, including the veg. I also thought the potatoes were slightly underdone. But overall, I did enjoy the meal. Two of our party did ask for theirs to be reheated, but fresh hot food came out shortly after. I wished I had done the same, but as I was so hungry, I had eaten most of the meat and some of the vegetables and felt either inappropriate to ask for a fresh warm roast and would have been to full for my desert. The desert made up for the main as it was hot and gorgeous and probably one of the best apple tarts I have ever had. Overall, this is a very good place to have lunch, and nothing is too much trouble, and the staff are most attentive.

Rooms: The apartment was beautiful and the grounds very well kept.

Nice looking hotel with well maintained grounds. Rooms were spacious, clean and nicely designed. Sadly everything we liked about the hotel was ruined by what I can put down to poor management and communication.
We were not pre-warned, communicated to or given a heads-up that there was a wedding party during our stay and we could have made other arrangements. As a result, loud music all the way until midnight. The wedding crew must have been metal fans as track after track was topped off with "Down with the Sickness" blaring out at 11:45pm which I thought was quite funny.
Breakfast was a little under par in terms of quality. Surprisingly there were nice little jam jars and butter on the table but we were told they did not have any toast.

Stayed for a family wedding and was so impressed by the grounds, rooms and food. Also have to mention how friendly, welcoming and helpful the staff were. Special mention to Anya Danni Gracie who are an asset to you.

Lovely hotel in a very nice setting let down by it's food.
I had the chicken supreme.
Very nice chicken but totally over powered by masses of onion in the salad. Others in the group had the duck breast. Again nice meat but let down by the ceasar salad... instead of delicate flavour of mashed anchovies in the dressing, they were whole fish and very little if any parmesan.

I stayed at Lanes with my girlfriend and dog. They provided a welcome pack for our dog, and the room was immaculate, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding, and the grounds are well kept and scenic. I can?t wait to return.

Stayed there for one night on a business trip to Yeovil. Absolutely beautiful cute little hotel, friendly, upretentious staff, nice rooms, pretty traditional English common areas, and a great restaurant with decent vegan choices. The pictures don't do it justice, it feels much more upscale in person.

I got married here on 8th June, and I have to say I couldn't recommend Lanes enough! All staff were amazing! We bought all of our own decorations which Danni, the wedding co-ordinator decorated the room, and she couldn't have done a better job, it looked perfect and just as we wanted, for 'the wedding that wasnt a wedding'!
We didn't have a photographer but Dyl took some incredible pictures for us, and for that we couldn't be more grateful, food was lovely, room was clean with a great view, it honestly couldn't have been better!

I was there for work, certainly the best hotel in the area, spacious rooms, good service, quiet area, but there's nothing at all in the surrounding area.
The restaurant is very good.

A delightful three nights. Accommodation, staff and food - excellent. You can't beat a cooked to order breakfast, a good choice of evening meals and service with a smile.

Wow, hands down the best food we?ve had in a very long time. We loved eating in the beautiful garden. All the staff we encountered were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. We can?t wait to come back.
