I went in today to show the staff a switch I had bought which came with a deep scratch on the controller, chips of paint missing on the screen and also a missing piece on the dock. The lady said this was deemed 'acceptable' for a boxed item even though on the website a boxed item is either 'good' or 'mint' condition. She said she wouldnt do anything for me a part from take a part from another device which was also damaged! Its fair to say this has now been escalated. Poor customer service.

So CeX has been my go-to store for years now and it hasn?t let me down one bit. I bought a Ps5 controller of the store and i have it to this day. It came out with stick drift and the staff were more than happy to help with the issue replacing the controller. Happened more than once but im glad they sort it out. Recommended 100%

I honestly get such a laugh ? when visiting this store. The staff are great ?? I was a frequent visitor a couples of weeks back and each time the staff were always on some feel good vibes, friendly, helpful and conversational. They're also good with explaining things to you about the item(s) you're either purchasing and/or selling that's if you request information ?? they talk you through the whole process with knowledge and understanding.
The store like most does have it's busiest hours and sometimes it can be a wait or busy within the store but if you catch it at a good time then it's easy breezy and you won't be left with long waiting times. There's a drop and go section or your regular walk-ins.
The only (con) I have is at the busiest times the shop soon feels very very claustrophobic but this is my own personal preference.

Good for second hand electronics although be wary of the condition which they do have a rating system for but items can be in quite a poor condition.

Witnessed staff being very rude to customer!! Telling a customer that the product they wanted to buy no longer gets updates from the manafacture. Fair enough but the way she was talking to the customer like he was stupid and she just kept repeating herself. She clearly didn't want him to buy it bizarrely, when the customer wanted to buy it. Think some of your staff CEX need some better training in customer service and actually want to sell your stock!!

I took a consol for repair and it had a fc25 game in the consol this has gone missing.. I asked the store/email to resolve the problem but they won't take responsibility for their actions even tho they have admitted this.. Bad company do not use.. Avoid at all cost

Went today and bought an xbox, got back home and tested it but found out the controller was faulty and didn?t work. This wasnt stated when i bought it so its obvious that it wasn?t tested i did take it back and they offered to give me another controller but i just asked for a refund. I wont buy electronics from this store anymore.

took my ps5 to cex and got told they couldn?t take it because the stand screw was missing, just got home and it was in the bag with the stand. waste of time.

Took an item to Cex Yeovil bearing in mind I live about 30 miles away from Yeovil but was in the area and what should of been straight forward wasn't.
The guy took the item which needed to be tested and told me that they couldn't tedt it until around 4pm that day which was fine as I said to the guy just email me the voucher that was fine he said.
So I left 6pm came and no voucher nothing I left it until the next day until lunchtime still nothing so I visited the store to find out they hadn't got around to testing the item ( It was 2pm the following day by this time ).
All I got was a pathetic I'm sorry so I asked for the item back which after fumbling about I eventually received.
I ended up taking it to the poole store who managed to test it within 30 mins!!

Do kids run the shop? No one with any sort of authority in store. Shelves a mess. The kids behind the counter on their phones absolute no interest in customers.
Forgive me for saying but the lowest of expectation is to at least smile at the customer isn't it. What a disappointing service.
