Absolutely awful customer service at the bar.
I literally just ordered a double espresso and kindly asked if that was possible to fill up with a bit more water (lungo double basically) and the gentleman behind the bar said yes without informing that he would have to charge me for that extra water (which I?ve never seen any coffee shop doing in my entire life) and I?ve been charged as if it was gold (£5.20) when I had actually called the day before asking how much they double expresso would cost me and the lady over the phone told me three pounds something.
He charged me more than two single espressos, that he mentioned costs £2.40 each.
I am absolutely upset and really stressed with that kind of customer service, specially because I come to this place regularly as I?m local and today was gonna spend time in my laptop and order more drinks and food later on.
This man ruined my day.

I booked this beautiful gem ? for our wedding day reception venue. I booked a room for the night before the wedding, all traditional. I got the family room with the amazing bathtub, super giant bed the room was exquisite. Immaculate beautiful bed great sleep just stunning. Woke up in the morning to a very delicious breakfast indeed. The staff were amazing actually outstanding. They are a very pleasant team to work with and be around. The chefs who provided the buffet were exceptional quality. The hire of reception area was adequately spaced and excelled my expectations. Overall the venue and staff and quality is really what makes this place truly exceptional and special. Highly recommend. I can not thank them enough for such a beautiful day. Highly commendable. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We really enjoyed our stay here - all the staff should be rightly proud of their warm and welcoming service! Only slight issues were a strangely coloured linguine dish (other food was fab) and our room was really warm overnight in August.
None of these issues would prevent me from staying here again - well done to the serving and bar staff in particular!! ???

Enjoyed a family get together here. Food was on the whole, good..unfortunately my linguine was quite disappointing, lacking the flavours expected per description and was luke warm...shame, as everything else was good.

I absolutely love this place. The rooms, the staff, the atmosphere is fab!
Rooms are very spacious, clean and the beds are so comfy. Will definitely be back again.
Also had breakfast which was 10/10.

The pub is a warm and friendly place with good food, plenty of parking, outdoor tables, and a well stocked bar. It attracts a variety of customers and is situated in the heart of the village. It has an integral bowling alley that can be partitioned off for private functions. Choose from the restaurant for dining or grab some food at the bar. There are regular homemade sweet treats to temp you to nibble, which are sold alongside the usual crisps and nuts. It's a clean and tidy place with lovely friendly staff and a chilled vibe. Most nights are comfortably busy, with regular groups like the local sports clubs and the local choir popping in after their weekly training. It's also dog friendly, so you can pop in with your pooch and all enjoy a drink.
Being local, I don't know about the accommodation, but there seems to be an ebb and flow of visitors that enjoy their stay in this lovely place.

Waited almost 10 minutes in an almost empty pub to be served - not impressed! Just as well my bus was running late.

Very friendly and polite staff. Room immaculate, fantastic bed so very good night's sleep. Excellent food. We stayed here as close to Thatcher's where we had a tour booked but would love to stay here again for another relaxing break. Thank you to all staff for being so welcoming.

Very pleasant hotel. Good menu, good food, good service, lovely spacious room. Only downside for dog owners is there's no garden, as advertised, so we had to go quite a way to find even a tuft of grass for early morning/late evening wees.
