Bought a meal for my daughter today, went back to the counter (about 4.15pm) and asked for a cup for water to take medication because I was in A LOT OF pain (long term back problems), and the pain was so bad I felt sick. I was REFUSED a cup for water, or any form of water. I was made to buy a £1.99 bottle of water just to take medication.
Another customer stood next to me was appalled and started telling me (loud enough for staff to hear) that it's ILLEGAL for a restaurant to refuse water. I wasn't aware of this so we got chatting as the bloke went to the back to get a bottle of water. Not one staff member pay any attention.
