We were staying a couple miles away and this was recommended to us. Beautiful evening sat outside, enjoying food and drink. Lovely play area if you have children. Food was great, we really enjoyed our evening.

Just got back from lunch at this very welcoming pub all of our meals were first class and I had a great pint of Butcombe the best for a long time. First time here but not the last.

Great pub! Has some old style opening hours, but great pub, has great food, and great for kids as they have a huge safe play area.

I can't think of a public house that treats its customers like the staff at the castle of comfort the food is out standing and with dish of salad you get is outstanding the portions are out standing

This is a great place with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. There's a secure children's park outside too. The food is good, we had a ploughman's. I did find the cheese wasn't as strong as the previous time though. I would highly recommend this place. Booking inside tables is recommend too.

Excellent service, but found the menu uninspiring - basic pub grub, and not done well.
I had lamb chops which were burnt and tough, and the new potatoes were undercooked. Very disappointing for £18.
My friend had fishcakes which looked like the type you get from the freezer section at the supermarket.
As a small group having a get-together, we had a pleasant evening, and the staff were great, but the food was a let down.

Had a lovely meal with friends food was amazing and the portions were big really good value for money loads of drinks 2 choose from staff were so lovely and went above and beyond 100% recommend will definitely return x
