Lovely little pub sitting in the shadow of the cathedral.
Great selection of beers on tap.
Warm, cosy vibe.
Stayed in the annexe part of the building. Compact and bijou no frills accommodation, but clean and comfortable.
Please note, there is no parking here. Recommend Waitrose for overnight stays.

This is a lovely old and rambling pub. The beers and ciders on offer were excellent. Staff very friendly. Although we missed the live music (which includes jazz), we loved the fact that people were actually playing boardgames games in the pub.

I have visited The White Hart several times in my life but I think I will give it a pass in the future.
On arirval at about 1700 we were told to go to the Italian opposite to east because no more food was served, whinch was understandable.
In the morning I informed one of the staff memmbers that I would like the milldew wiped off the bathroom wall. The youn ldy gladly responded she will have it done.
My colloeague and I ordered a "Full English" that had not been touched by human hands. Ghastly slop.
When we came to the worksite I said to my Brittish friends I was feeling a bet queasy upon which one of them asked "You didn't eat at the Heartburn did you?"
Well... As one is stubborn and tired from a whole days work we came back in the evening and ordered the ribs with our client. The ribs were raw inside, but we were just too tired to complain.
The owner charged our client for the ribs and our full english that we had agreed to pay when we came back.
The next morning i went to ask a young man if the milldew in my bathroom could be wiped off as I am a bit senitive to it and it makes me feel sick. He promised to attend to it. We learnt not to have breakfast or dinner.
The next morning I asked the owner if anyone gives a flying f about the clients or anything else, as the milldew was still untouched on the wall....
I had real problems with my lungs by then....
Politeness does not mean anything if you really aren't sincere.
Food and drinks: Give it a pass. The Beers and Ciders are Ok.

I was attending an event (did not stay overnight)? so I can only comment on the bar and facilities. The location is just perfect if you?re visiting Wells, everything is on your doorstep! Staff were great and everything seemed clean and well maintained.

REALLY BAD.
It would be best to avoid this place at all costs. The food is terrible and appears to be microwaved. Cold or warm at best without quality.
Despite staff trying to do the best the service is poor and overall a qualified mess.

Accessibility to the room we were in was a bit of an issue. Steep outside staircase, not the best. But this place is an old coaching inn. No on site parking.
Walkability: In the centre of the town easy access to the Cathedral, Bishop's palace shops and restaurants.

Went to see a band there who were great. Really nice bar, cosy, friendly staff and audience. Will go again.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, many locals don't share your interpretation of the Red Willow Tap Takeover. How do you obtain and analyse feedback from your venue's regulars? The attached photos don't exactly reinforce your interpretation of the maintenance situation either. The bar area is attractive but many parts of the hotel are at best shabby or in a state of disrepair. The photos of the rooms on your website further illustrate the lack of investment and maintenance. Hints at cash flow problems or failure to understand the local market and economy.

Perfect for what we wanted. Ideal location. Good choice of beers and wines. Food was good and very reasonably priced. Room was ideal. Quiet and peaceful. Will stay again
