I used to love seeking out wonderful indy book shops but several favourites have morphed into bookshop theme parks where instead of the punter indulging themselves the shop does the indulging! Strangely the Waterstones chain seem to have got it about right and l tend to head there for a book mooch!

This is a lovely store but we had a very awkward experience yesterday. A lady needed some help at the tills and the queue quickly built up. After the customer left, the staff member who was serving her was serving us and started complaining about the customer before us saying she should have just shopped online and not come into store. She was complaining about this other customer quite loudly to a fellow staff member while serving us. The customer overheard her and came back to say excuse me that?s not appropriate for you to speak about me that way. Rather than just apologise, the staff member tried to justify it and blamed her for the queue?she was arguing with the customer while serving us. It was a horribly awkward experience and so unprofessional of the staff member. I realise it?s a stressful environment when it?s busy but she should have just apologised to us for the queue and focused on serving us rather than complaining about other customers. As soon as our payment went through we just left the store without so much as an apology, thanks for your purchase or goodbye from the clerk as she was still busy arguing. A very strange experience that will probably keep me away from this store in future.

Amazing books to choose from including brand new books such as ones have been released by Tom Felton and David Jason!!Loads of different types to choose! One of the workers told us when purchasing that these books are great books to read!!Highly recommend this place!
