Stocked full of fresh produce, lovely fragrant flowers (in the entrance), bread made on the premises and other non essential items. It's not a shop you wpuld get ypur werkly shop due yo the cost of products,but they fo gave some great own products that are great as a top up shop.

I really like how it's always possible to find proper high welfare meat (I wish it were all free range, but at least you can always choose free range!) at Waitrose and it's one of the main reasons I go there. We also find that they have good own brand free range chocolate, and some other items that are just really hard to find at other supermarkets like Ottolenghi's delicious chilli sauce. There is an element where the regular branded items are definitely more expensive than the bigger supermarkets, but the Waitrose Essentials range is reasonably competitive and good quality.

Salmon.
Birthday party, was asked to bring some Gravadlax, I make my own, easy. Port and sage if anyone is interested.
Service was incredibly helpful, very polite, salmon side was superior. Skin was glistening, I fish myself I know how it's supposed to look. Very fresh, firm, no sag or water. Someone had taken the time to remove all the bones, and a good job they did.
Really good price as well, for a whole side of salmon.
I made two sides of Gravadlax, the trimmings I poached in the oven with anchovy butter and lemon. Delicious, lovely salmon. Been a while since we've had quality like this. Damn good job Waitrise.
