Keeps running out of the basic foods like BREAD, BEANS & JACKETS!! AT LUNCH TIME!?.Ok I?ll grab a soup, sorry ? NO BREAD? only a cold garlic slice, and that will cost you extra!!! It?s winter, Soup is served with a hot crusty roll or bread! Not a slice of cold garlic bread! All three times we have visited and menus on the large board are either wiped clean in front of you or staff tell you no longer available! We had family down from Oxford and had enough of your excuses this time. Never again. The rude manager who said to us, when we left ?I?ve never seen you in here before!!? Please see receipts, in photos from my bank? do better if you are independent as you keep banging on about to me. Please don?t make your problems, mine!

I needed somewhere to have lunch whilst I work and Good Earth was on my list. This place is cosy yet full of character and life. It was busy downstairs so conveniently I went upstairs where I was quieter. My quiche salad was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend this place for those who want a coffee and a chat with old friends, that?s definitely the vibe I got from the customers.

A gem of a restaurant in Wells. Surprised this didn't come up higher in some Google searches or TripAdvisor. Excellent food, great atmosphere and happy, friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and would come straight here next time in Wells. Great selection all cooked by people who care.
Vegetarian options: Very wide choice of wholefood vegetarian options.

The celery salad and quiche were especially good, lovely atmosphere, healthy food at a very reasonable price. Very good service also.

The Good Earth vegetarian restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious and healthy dishes, all made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a wholesome meal. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and Jackie, one of the owners, couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. Overall, the experience at this cafe is not only satisfying for the taste buds, but also leaves you feeling very happy!!! Highly recommend for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike!

The portion was huge and it tasted good. We were here during rush hour and that's why it was unfortunately a bit noisy.

Although the food was very good sadly initial service not so much. Ignored by a woman behind counter in entry.
However, this might have been because the company employs those with learning disabilities, which is a great initiative.
This was however ruined when after asking a young lady directions to the toilets, three young employees, two females and one male began giggling.
One I heard to say "she'll never find her way with those direction's". The young lady who I had asked clearly had learning disabilities.
Being a volunteer for Unpaid Carers and a full time unpaid carer myself, I found this experience very upsetting.
There is no point in helping those with disabilities of any kind if you are just ticking boxes and have untrained staff clearly not behind the scheme.
I thought Somerset generally as being a caring county?

Went on a Saturday lunchtime and it was busy, but there?s a lot of tables. Food was great and the staff were friendly and found us a high chair for our messy 11 month old baby! The chocolate and cherry tart was especially good!
