Very good service, the only criticism is the choice of glasses is quite poor. A very small choice of designer glasses, all the rest are the same.

Went for a hearing test. Was told in no uncertain terms that because I had hearing aids from Boots that they were not interested. I was told my hearing aids still belong to Boots, although they are 100% owned by me. Consequently, Specsavers would not touch my hearing aids if my hearing changed (even though they are qualified by the manufacturer to do so). How useless.My hearing aids are listed on the Specsavers website and the manufacturer lists them as a service provider too.I'm a bad, bad Boots customer, so must have inferior treatment. I was perfectly happy to pay for the adjustments and hearing test, but after being told I'm a lowly Boots customer, it was best to just leave.Shouldn't have gone to Specsavers!

I didn?t realise I had to be an expert eye doctor now to have a free sight test. They?ve given me the wrong prescription, tested it, and then confirmed which means they just wrote the wrong prescription in the first place. Luckily I found an old pair of glasses. I wouldn?t trust the staff there now as it feels like a horrible joke I?m somehow the butt of. Humiliating experience. Trying to work up the courage to go back in but I have just such bad vibes about it I can?t even do it.I was advised to keep trying with them as you can break glasses in. I mean, I?ll probably just break them fullstop.

Nice place to get your eyes examined. The staff are friendly and helpful. The opticians are very knowledgeable about any treatments you are currently having with your eyes, if any. And will offer advice if needed. There are lots of frames to choose from at different price points.

I was sent from the doctors under the eca scheme.Very quick appointment and after examinations I found out I had eye infections.Treatment provided .

Whilst the staff at Wells couldn't be nicer, I still couldn't resolve not being able to see clearly through my new glasses. I realise my subscription hadn't changed much, but my old glasses are much clearer. After 7 visits, one remake & multiple attempts I had to ask for a full refund, which they gave me, no quibble. Hence the 2 stars, (including the nice staff). But after many years & lots of glasses from them, not being able to be a customer anymore is frustrating, especially without a clear explanation of why?I'll try my local independent & see if I can get glasses that work.

Had visited the Wells branch for 2 appointments this month.First time was for my 5yr old daughter and second for myself.I thought the team to be professional and family friendly.The optometrist that my daughter saw was very patient and knowledgeable. He spoke carefully and clearly making sure my daughter knew what was expected of her and what was taking place at each step.Luckily, my daughter had excellent sight so no need for glasses but she did get to choose a sticker.The optometrist I saw was also very knowledgeable. She was kind and made sure to ask me of my history, as a previous glasses wearer. She explained my eye scan well, making sure I was comfortable throughout. She was also great with my daughter, giving her a sticker for waiting nicely during my appointment.The general team were helpful when it came to choosing my glasses. They made me aware of the deals available.The staff were on hand if needed but allowed me to browse independently.When finished, the fitting process was fast and the cost was broke down well by the person supporting me. It was clear that they wanted to give me the best deal.Wait time was 2 weeks.On collecting my glasses I had another good experience with the present staff.The person helping me made sure that the fit was good and adjusted the glasses so that they did not slide down my nose.This was done very fast. I believe I was out of there within 15 minutes.Again, the staff member was polite and helpful. I was told how to care for my lenses and made aware that I could pop into the store if I ever needed my glasses to be readjusted or fixed.Thanks Wells team :)

Very disappointed, whilst cleaning with the supplied cloth the lens fell out luckily it clicked back in, will reevaluate my options for eye testing going forward
