Good coffee and WiFi ?

Overcharged - Ordered two capachinos, they whirled away to make it but asked for payment, fair enough, paid. Coffee arrived, they asked for payment again. I said I already paid, they said it didn't go through. I said the card reader beeped. They checked and said it didn't.
Ok, give them the benefit of doubt, paid again, told them I'll check afterwards.
Checked, and yes I paid twice.
Went back inside of 30s, showed payed twice, got refunded, fair play.
Now my query is, was this a genuine mistake, or a scam Nero? You can see if payment went through for two coffees on your readouts easily. But they were adamant it hadn't.
I'm unwilling to give you the benefit of doubt this time Nero.
So when it's busy and you are asked to pay twice, I'd check if I was you, or go to another coffee shop, or it was just a mistake by two people at the same time?
You decide.

We picked a busy time of day to pop in for coffee, so there was quite a wait to be served. One of the staff said they were short staffed hence the wait.
The cafè was quite untidy too with trays under seats and bits of litter on the floor.
Coffee and teacake was ok but not the best we have had.
We only popped in here because our usual cafè was full.
Certainly having a full compliment of staff would improve the situation.

Ultra slow service
Confusing over an old loyalty card I had the girl didn't explain well and seemingly I lost a full card with no free drink. Nice place to perch for a rest.

Fast service and strong coffee with a good choice of hot snacks. The branch has plenty of nice seating inside.

It's an absolute must when we are in Wells. All the staff are so very friendly. Always busy and customers seem very happy. Food is excellent and though friendly the staff are always busy. Other Coffee restaurants can be empty but yet to find that here which goes to show how good they are.

Have been going here for years but its getting increasingly dirty. Rearlydo we see tables being wiped . Dogs are allowed to sit on furniture and we have had to ask for cloth to wipe dirty paw prints off before we can sit down. Have seen dogs lick crumbs off tables and yesterday even saw one drink water from customer glass!!! Weekends particularly staff rather chat behind the counter than concentrate on customers.All in all its filthy and noone does anything about it
