“I used to love seeking out wonderful indy book shops but several favourites have morphed into bookshop theme parks where instead of the punter indulging themselves the shop does the indulging! Strangely the Waterstones chain seem to have got it about right and l tend to head there for a book mooch!”

“This is a great second-hand bookshop. It also sells music (vinyl, CD and cassette) and a good range of Oxfam fairtrade and other new goods. But it's the chance to browse through a great range of good quality books that does it for me, as well as knowing that whatever I spend here goes to support my favourite charity.”

“I love this shop!! The staff are really friendly and welcoming and the there is always a good selection of ladies clothes which are well organised in sizes. I also like looking at the bric a brac section which has some lovely items at reasonable prices. I never leave empty handed.”
