Lovely couple of drinks in this pub. Good ale. Friendly barman, Asked us to name his new dog that day. We suggested Eddie.
Hope this works. Cheers

Loads of potential here. Could be a quality friendly boozer with loads of rustic rural Somerset charm, and on a good day maybe it is.
Unfortunately on the day we visited there was a free-roaming bully breed dog that kept trying to attack ours, and the owner (landlord?) did nothing to stop it. Add to that some pretty awful DnB being played at high volume by a bloke in a gazebo, it kinda spoiled the vibe of what would otherwise have been a great afternoon with a few pints in the sun. Memorable, but for the wrong reasons.
Sort the dog out and this could be 5-stars.

Lovely traditional local pub. Great atmosphere. Would love to know the origin of the Castle Bellingham & Drogheda Breweries jug in the pub!

Vegetarian options: It's available and very accommodating to needs.
Dietary restrictions: It's available and very accommodating to needs.
Parking: Plenty of parking in the pub car park but this was a festival so they had loads of room in the field opposite the pub for at least a hundred more vehicles. ?

A lovely place, I'm friends with the daughter of the owners and she is a kind person. The owners are lovely people with no bad intentions whatsoever and it hurts to see the 1 star reviews as i have been going here for a year with my dad. A very nostalgic place with a lovely fire and the cutest dogs ever. Would definitely recommend it xx
Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly earlier in the day

Upon stumbling across the Trotter 12 months or so ago it's become our regular haunt where diverse conversation and step back in time surroundings make it a unique place to visit. The friendly locals, owners and staff add to the experience, as do the lovable dogs.

This is a beautiful country pub with a wonderful interior with a piano, animals & loads of memorabilia. Visited whilst on a country pub crawl with a friend but unfortunately, I got strangled on the way out by a local who suspected I was a scammer due to disclosing the nature of my work. Whilst it is their right to defend their pub and the nature of people these days, but I sadly cannot recommend visiting it if you're not local, sorry. This place is simply just better off being closed down to the public and kept as a house. Ruined a wonderful day outUpdate: didn't realize there was a fox hunting incident recently. Whilst I don't morally agree with it, I cannot tell people what to do, as it their pub and i had no idea until just now. No I didn't visit due to the fox hunting

Love this place good old fashioned pub! no food, and cash only. It makes you feel at home landlord and regulars friendly and cheerful.
