Great food, really friendly service. I would definitely recommend. The steaks were cooked to perfection and really flavourful. Fillet and Tomahawk required 24hr notice.

We were staying in Wedmore for a few days and booked a table at the New Inn. When we went in we had a very friendly greeting from the locals who were in there. There was a good choice of ales (which were kept very well), ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks. We were served at the bar by Angie who was also very friendly. We confirmed we had booked to eat and almost everyone advised us to try the steaks. Having not ordered steak in a pub for 10 years as it was never cooked how I'd asked, I was a bit reluctant. However, I was persuaded and told Angie how I would like it cooked, with my partner choosing a burger. The food arrived having been cooked by the landlord Alex who was also very friendly. Well I have to say that the steak really was excellent and cooked exactly how I'd asked. My partner also said his beefburger was excellent. If we return to Wedmore we will definitely be paying another visit and would have no problem recommending this pub. Thank you Alex, Angie and the locals for making us feel so welcome

Headed here on a Monday evening as not many other pubs in the area were open. Read reviews of decent food so had high hopes. They only do burgers and steaks but we just needed a good meal!
My wife had the American burger with chips and I had an 8oz rump steak with chips and coleslaw. Both meals were lovely, steak cooked to perfection and lovely and tender, the burger was lovely too and was made from 8oz steak meat, so great quality.
Both staff working in the pub were lovely and the locals seemed welcoming too. Nice drinks and a good price, would happily come back if we're in the area.

Great local pub. The landlord is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. All the locals were very welcoming. Had the steak dinner wich was great and got massive portions. Would highly recomend as visit if in the area.

A small unassuming pub, but do not let that discourage you. Go there for the Guinness (Autumn/Winter only), and the steaks... I cannot recommend this place enough. The steaks are 'just' rump steaks, but again, do not be discouraged by this. The steaks Alex serves could easily be mistaken for fillet steaks. He serves it cooked beautiful and served with freshly cooked chips and saled. It's superb.. and very fairly priced. I will be visiting again soon!

We popped in on the off chance of eating but were told that all the burgers were sold out? but he had steaks? great for me but not hubby. As my hubby is pescatarian Alex said he would have a look to see if he had anything he could rustle up for him, came back saying he had some Scampi, perfect. Well the steak was absolutely beautiful cooked perfectly (very rare just how I like it) with lovely chips & salad, without doubt one if the best if not the best steak I?ve had in a long time. The Scampi too was cooked very well still being crunchy & the fish soft. Although we were visitors we were made to feel very welcome & had a fab evening. Thank you. Also had some Entertaining chat with regular Levi. ??

This was the highlight of our holiday. The landlord and lady could not do enough for us. They made us feel very welcome. Traditional pub food which was outstanding. The steaks are to die for. We visited 3 times in one week and had steak on each occasion. Very reasonably priced and good size portions.

Camping nearby and looking for somewhere to eat that was child and dog friendly.What a find!A proper country pub with a proper country pub feel. Friendly landlord and locals.The menu is not extensive...but that is a plus. What they do they do really well. We all had burgers and they were fantastic, served with a pile of fries that filled half the plate. The blue cheese burgers came topped with a slab of local blue cheese.My only regret is that we weren't within walking distance. I could have settled in for the evening.

Only popped in for one on our way back to the caravan and ended up having food as it was steak night (Wednesday evening).I had double Hawaiian burger, my wife had steak both really nice.
