Such lovely people but unfortunately the fish was very disappointing, uncooked batter which was soggy - the chips were very good. I?m hoping that we were just unlucky on the day as it was our first time here.

Ordered sausage and chips.
Sausage was cold and chips were hot. Chips were bland even after they put salt and vinegar on them and the tasted like they had been refried.
Two ladies in the shop seemed to struggle a little to keep up with orders.

First time here I bought a fish for £7.50 and a child's chips for £2 which was enough for me,the fish was big and 3 of us shared it.

We were a last minute order and yet service was super fast and cheerful. Food was sooo good and the pie was loaded with meat.

The first time we went it was fantastic, apart from not opening on time with no apology!This time, fish was under cooked with the batter soggy, chips also under cooked. Won't be going again.

We just ate the best fish and chios l have had in years!!! I am a Northener and we pride ourselves in our chippy tea! But l personally love loved there chips and gravy the mos5!

Had regular chips and minced beef and onion pie. Plenty of chips but felt they needed a bit more cooking, pie was tasty but the pastry on the top was a bit hard and dry. Perhaps it was the way it was reheated?

Great fish and chips from here. Good helping of chips, very nicely cooked. Large haddock also well battered, nice and crispy.
