Just had a meal here and ordered a Caesar salad with spicy chips for me and the other person had a pie and chips. While the pie and chips was good, the Caesar salad, that consisted of mainly (a tiny amount of lettuce) a little - I mean a little bit of -onion and some croutons (which were supposed to be sourdough but more likely white bread) also was supposed to have egg and there was no egg. For £10.50 this was terrible. The chilli seasoned chips were so over seasoned that they were not edible. The waitress asked how our food was, so I explained. She said that she would tell the kitchen. We were sat by the kitchen side door and we could here every bad thing that the chef and the waitress were saying about us and ?who orders a salad, what do you expect? when the waitress returned to cleaning another table, I said we could hear everything through that door and she said ?oh? slammed the table mats down and walked off.The waitress also continued to moan about other customers. I wouldn?t want someone with that attitude working for me.The owner is lovely and the bar staff are great but this has tainted us coming backVegetarian options: Limited

Popped here for a drink on a Sunday lunchtime. It was packed! Beautiful proper British country pub with a large number of fans. From walkers popping in for a drink to families having Sunday lunch, the whole place was heaving. BOOK A TABLE IF YOU WANT FOOD!! Plenty of car parking, lovely location, nice walks and lovely staff. Didn't eat so can't comment on food (but will be returning) but the pub welcomes pets too so hugely popular. One downside: very loud live music on Sunday lunchtime (?) which might make conversation a challenge and bother people with sensitive ears. My nan would have struggled to put up with the sound level. Apart from that, definitely worth frequenting.

Let's be honest: this is a drinkers pub. DON'T go there for a meal. We went on the basis of having been before & had a lovely meal: oh how things have changed! We were greeted as if nothing was amiss; it turned out there was no chef ( the young man behind the bar was stepping in as fast as we could tell), a significant part of the menu (if you can call it that) wasn't available e.g. steak, desserts. And what did get served was mostly microwaved with items missing e.g. Yorkshire pudding, garden peas. When we admitted defeat we just asked if we could have a coffee: "Oh, we haven't got a coffee machine, sorry" was the response. Ever heard of a kettle & Nescafe? To be fair they discounted the Bill - but that in no way makes up for what was simply awful.

Had the pleasure of enjoying a Sunday roast at the Seven Stars in Timsbury. Roast's can sometimes be a bit hit or miss when dining out in a pub, but this experience was a giant HIT! What a stunning dinner, a very plentiful portion with lots of variety and everything on the plate was cooked to perfection. Four of us dined, all having roasts. Four very full bellies & very happy faces. The pub atmosphere was also excellent with kind, polite helpful staff, making the whole experience very enjoyable. Great selection of drinks available too, just a shame I was driving! Will be back very soon.....

This pub is fantastic from the things it?s been through recently, amazing beer garden, attentive and lovely staff. Amazing pub grub, all for a really affordable price. Amazing deals on the drinks. Bar staff have a good knowledge of beers and wines. All great sense of humour. Locals are some of the most pleasant and respectful people I?ve met. Landlord and his wife and incredibly inviting and have gone out their way for me many a times. You couldn?t ask for a better little town pub. As for the BnB rooms which are worth every penny, for a get away to countryside of Somerset, with Priston round the corner and many more walks close by. Often eventful with evening events such as open mic night, meat draw (raffle tickets to win meat!), karaoke, quiz night and live music when available.Vegetarian options: Many options for vegetarians.Parking: Always a space even when busy.Kid-friendliness: The locals are the most welcoming older generation, funny and easy going. Not offence and accepting of everyone no matter who or what you are!Wheelchair accessibility: Disabled Toilet and lots of room and table friendly for wheelchair users.

Our booked table was non-existent. There was no kitchen staff and therefire no restaurant. We weren't informed of this before our arrival. We were staying for 2 nights. Thankfully a Co-op was nearby for breakfast and we had to search out a nearby pub for a meal (Thanks to the Butchers Arms).

Awful ! We've been a few times and each time we leave underwhelmed and disappointed! They've a long way to go ! There was 1 ' Sunday Menu' on the table there was 4 of us . Two of us chose the roast one wanted the vegetarian and one of us wanted lasagne . Only to be told it's roast only! And the vegetarian option wasn't lentil wellington but vegetarian sausages ! Really poor .... vegetables were limited and a small amount ... just overall it felt like the kitchen cupboard was bare and they couldn't be bothered ! We go to support local pubs but seriously we won't rush back !

I received a confirmation email for the booking the day before. We arrived at 7pm for a drink at the bar first and told there was no chef available!! Very rural area, luckily a pub up the road came to our rescue.
