We recently adopted a cat, Armani, from RSPCA West Hatch and were really impressed with the centre. The staff had put so much effort into caring for Armani. The place was also very clean. The adoption process was very well organised. We received lots of advice about settling our cat into her new home, as well as lots of information about her medical history and needs. Oh, and our cat is adorable!

We became owners of Otis, a young ginger cat whom the vet at West Hatch described as a "lovely boy" - she was exactly right. The staff at West Hatch care immensely about the animals they look after. We warmly recommend the centre to you.

Sadly, if you find an injured young bird the RSPCA are totally unable to help these days. Their solution of taking it to a vet is of very little use when your working day is longer than the local vets opening hours. Was willing to drop off to them but were told the RSPCA do not do anything with young birds, even if the bird has clearly been attacked byanother animal. I appreciate all charities are struggling (hence it's not 1 star,) but it's horrible to have a suffering animal on your hands and find them unwilling to help in any way. Very disappointed ??

I visited for a second time and met with Anita Clark and staff. Super friendly people and clean, well organised facilities . Top rescue doing a wonderful job by putting a lot of effort into helping the hounds

Awful. Offer a " 24" hour service yet no number that is available for 24 hours. Cut off at 8pm. Injured pet in need of dire help last night and all vets refused to help due to not being registered and no means of transport as all booked due to halloween weekend. Useless care system for animals in this country right now. Absolutely distraught with the lack of care/easily accessible help for a injured/dying animal.

We recently found a bat crawling along the floor outside out back door, so after putting him up for the night I made arrangements to take it to the RSPCA so they might give it the specialist care it needed.\\n\\nAfter making the call, I was asked to take it out to the West Hatch centre. When I arrived I pressed the intercom a few times and no answer, luckily a maintenance guy walked past and let me in with the bat.\\n\\nWe booked it in and I was given a unique code to check up on the bat's progress via email.\\n\\nI did check a few days later and was emailed back telling me that the bat had a fractured humerus and the vet was unable to save it, so they had to euthanize the poor thing.

Can't get through, phones are too complicated, no one gets back to you (rare case they do they won't help anyway) and nothing easy online. Anyone would think they're trying to avoid helping......

What's not to like? Re-homed 5 recused hedgehogs from there, carefully bright back to health not munching our slugs.
