Following our stay at this premier inn, after returning home we realised we had left 2 ties behind soon called the hotel and they stated to send and envelope with our address in side to post the ties back to. After about 2 weeks we gave them a call to see if they had received the envelope they had but the ties were still sat behind reception, we had been told that they were going to be posted back out to us, only to receive the envelope empty as we first sent it.
Since then we have sent it back twice more only to receive the envelope back empty, don?t see how hard it is to send 2 ties back in an envelope that has been paid for.

Perfect stopping poking on our way to Cornwall.
Beefeater next door was good and our waitress Kate was lovely.. A real asset to the business.
Rooms: Comfortable room and bed was good. Only complaint was the noisy fan in the bathroom

Not the best premier inn I've stayed in, but far from the worst.
No Internet in the hotel, either provided or 4G, a nightmare when you are there for
18 hours!
Bed was comfortable & shower was lovely & hot.
Had breakfast next door & other than bacon being cold, it was an ok 2 night experience.

Ideal location to break for our visit into Cornwall and a visit to my cousin. Reception excellent and very helpful. Nice bed and a Beefeater for food.
Rooms: Bathroom compact and bedroom soacious enough for a family.

This is a great place for our stop off on the way to golf at Oakhampton, all 12 of us meet up at the beefeater and the fun begins

We stayed from 02/08/24 at Premier Inn Taunton East and it was a sheer pleasure , no faults or problems, the 3 ladies and the guy just could do too much for us , well almost anything , We booked with Breakfast which was prepared at a besfeater a2minute walk from our room and everything their top was first class , all so polite, our room was a dedicated disabled room , and the whole wet room was designed for someone with all sorts of disabilities, even the toilet basin was a high rise basin so there was no problem lowering yourself and not falling off it, 10/ 10 well done all the girls and guy that see us thru out our break , we will be seeing you next year and a MASSIVE thank you xxxxx

30 minute walk to cricket ground rooms clean and tidy no air con though.
Rooms: Good standard with shower.

Wifi very poor: just constant "connected without internet". Breakfast was the worst I have ever encountered in a Premier Inn: cooked items had apparently been defrosted and then just heated up under the heat lamps. Very soggy and unpleasant.

the rooms there really snug and basically just bed! the bathroom smells like mould and everything is dirty and the air conditioning doesn?t work so is really hot and all we have is a little fan and the food took ages to come and the portion sizes were absolutely tiny it was like having a kids meal!

I kept having to remind myself that I am a name, not a number. It feels that Premier Inn are committed to getting the least possible human interaction and service with their guests, relying as much as possible on internet interaction and (if necessary) guest requests. While the room was comfortable and quiet (good things) the cold sterility of the place made it about as far removed from "hospitality" as you can get while still being a hotel. This may, of course, suit lots of people!!

This has been my favourite Taunton hotel for over 15 years, but I will never stay there again. There is almost no mobile phone service, but to make it worse their WiFi does not work reliably. Because of that I had almost no ability to communicate outside my room or work on a recent four day visit. The front desk advised me this had been a problem for over a year. I contacted Premier Inn customer service and their response was simply that this is a third party service and not their responsibility. I will never use this hotel again.
