I tend to pop in every week for all my film and Music needs. Plenty of other products in here too such as t shirts, collectables etc. Always try to pop in when there's something on sale, as can be a little pricey, but I'd rather pay for that than digital media !!

Used to be great for physical films however in recent years they?ve moved towards the vinyl and collectible tat market.
The film selection whilst a good size is all over the place making it hard to find anything. Once you do eventually find what you?re looking for expect to pay more than their online prices.
Multiple times I?ve been in now and ended up buying nothing due to the item having been cheaper on their online store. I instead decided to purchase the item through Amazon each time as they price match anyway.

To all those who buy earphones off HMV, DON'T - even if they're on sale. Bought off a JAM TWS Game On wireless earphones from them and it's defective. I bought three other earphones in the past and they always have something wrong with them or they break down after a few weeks. This on the other hand was not charging the earphones - the case charger itself is defective. I won't EVER buy earphones from them again. Garbage. I'm giving HMV a 1 star now because I want them to review and vet the products they sell and improve their services like my previous comments below. They haven't done a SINGLE thing about leaving price stickers on sleeves that will damage the sleeve and overall the product when removed.
Also, I'd suggest buying off Amazon for earphones. Look at the reviews and make your own decision. I found a wireless earphone that is high quality for only £15 and I've been using it nearly 3 years now.
While HMV have decent blu ray collection and sometimes good clothes they're selling and books, earphones are their worst product category to date.
P.S. I unfortunately can't return the product anymore since I threw the box before I even knew the product was defective. Lucky me.
OLD REVIEW - Around Sept/Oct
I love HMV stores. HMV in Taunton is a cool place to be if you're into physical media like Blu ray. With digital preservation being put into question, buying a physical copy of your most beloved movies is something to invest in, for me at least. What I hate though about HMV is usually, they'll put the sticker price tag on the sleeve cover of the blu ray, so when you remove it, it damages the cover. I wish they would stop doing that and just put the price tag after wrapping the case in plastic so not to damage it.

It can be a bit expensive but other than music and films, they have some great gifts .. t-shirt, toys (or should I say collectables?!) .. and sweets (love sweets!) - they have some unusual flavours of KitKats, snickers etc (these are usually around £3.99 each .. but can be heavily reduced when they approach their use by date).
Huge selection of t-shirts too which are worth browsing often just for film nostalgia value!

I'm only 5ft 1. Dresses and trousers are so long some at by 12 inches.
Unfortunately they do not cater for the petite person.

Amazing value for money on CDs, DVDs, Posters, and plenty more. I especially like the range of music available on CD as it includes some fairly niche bands I was pleasantly surprised to see. Extremely friendly and approachable cashier, the older gentleman. Love this place.
