Rooms are outdated and not cleaned very efficiently. Very easy to look to any ceiling corner or light fixture to see cobwebs and insects stuck in them, including directly above the bed! Hallways are no different.Bath and shower were unable to work separately in my room, impossible to run a bath without the shower running and vice versa.Tried to buy breakfast vouchers as stated on the TVs as well as on the roadchef days inn FAQ, but reception seemed clueless and never heard of them, before saying they don't sell them.Very disappointed, I'd prefer travelodge

Came to this hotel late in the evening made a booking for 2 adults and 1 kid came to the front desk and was stopped by a man behind the desk and said that my KID who was 15 was not a KID and that by his opinion my kid was 21 offered to give My kid passport as proof was refused as apparently his opinion was more valid than an official government documentation his tone was very aggressive and needless to say I will not be ever staying in this or any days inn completely unprofessional staff

There was a phone booking they said on the phone it is alright to stay for us in one room and we could pay in cash. When we arrived we couldn't stay because the receptionist said we cannot stay in one room with 3 children. And could not make a cash payment because they apparently were not accepting cash anymore but on the phone everything is okay when we arrived nothing was alright. And everything on top the receptionist was incredibly rude and threw us out on the street with 3 children in the rain.

29th Jan 2024 at 19.16pm a very rude lady refused to answer any questions. For booking a room refused to help me then cut me of. Called back to her putting the answer machine on. All i needed was some help towards support around disabilities and bringing a dog. She never gave her name BUTNeeds to be trained on customer service. I have been before , had a lovely gentleman help me he was very helpful. You've Lost my trade.Annoyed customerkaren

Pretty poor to be honest I've stayed in quite a few days in with my work and this is the worst one. The guy on reception was the most miserable person I've seen in a long time! Was so unhelpful and just did the bare minimum possible to take our money. Room wasn't too bad though in all honesty. Big and spacious and dog

We called at Taunton Dene South on Sunday 17th December. We walked our dog round after a McDonald's at 3ish. Then we encountered NICK!! who asked what we were doing on private land? I answered we didn't know it was private land and NICK said he knew cos it was his hotel. He then asked why we were looking through bedroom windows?What a totally ignorant prat! I am 74 years old and my wife is 63,he upset us both from just an innocent dog walk.I would like some kind of response from NICK even if he is the owner lol. A written apology from the company for employing such A pig of a bloke. Please let NICK know that i have been in touch.Your company is much better than this.Graham Marsh.

Lovely stay! Rooms were big & spacious. Staff at the reception desk were a right laugh! Made us feel welcomed. & it?s a plus McDonald?s is right next door! Perfectly acceptable accomodation for price. Clean and tidy with good shower room.Rooms: Clean and tidy. Everything worked. Table surfaces a little worn but didn't bother me.
