Couldn't find a good shade match (conclear) and this lovely lady called Jess was so kind when helping me! I recommend asking for her if unsure of what products to buy, especially for the dark skins girls like me. 10/10 customer service - thanks Jess ?

Store has been completely revamped and ground floor layout is totally different. It is a real challenge to find a way to access the upper floor. This is where the Men?s section is, but there is no signage to help you. Totally missed off Upper Floor sign. Not very helpful. And no staff upstairs. People were having difficulty with self service tills.

My wife arrived 5 mins early for eye test yesterday to find the person with the appointment before her angrily complaining that she had been waiting over an hour to be seen
My wife immediately walked out and booked an appointment at Specsavers. This is the second time she?s been left sitting twiddling her thumbs waiting to be seen.
Appalling service. We won?t ever darken Boots opticians door again!

Decent sized Boots, which seems to have been here on the high street for eternity.
Includes a busy pharmacy.
Mostly switched to self checkout
Generally a nice experience to shop here - good layout and great product range.
The upstairs feels a little disconnected - where you can find baby items, shower gels?..

Self service only. No manned tills available. Staff advised me they have been instructed by management they are not allowed to scan customers' shopping even for those with disabilities. They have effectively deliberately excluded all those with disabilities from the store. Totally against the equalities act but Boots profits are more important. Having previously spent a lot of money here, I now ensure I buy from Superdrug or supermarkets that still have manned tills. Boots is the only store in Taunton that is entirely self service.

Today I went in to collect some items for my father and there is not one single till manned by a member of staff. Now all automated. Will definitely NOT be back to this store. No way of paying with cash, and self service only. Sorry Boots you've lost a regular customer in me.

Really good experience with Meena, the travel nurse. She was lovely to deal with, and very efficient. Highly recommended

Happy to use the self scan tills as I prefer them. However the girl on there today who looked at me as though as was beneath her needs some training in customer service.
I was having an issue with finding a barcode as I picked up the tester by mistake.
Obviously begrudged helping me.
I feel terribly sorry for a lady who left the review saying that she was in tears due to ageism.
Get your act together Boots before you go the way of others.

Taunton has very limited baby spaces, I visited the store on November 9th 2024 and got told that the baby room was closed due to a plumbing issue (fair enough) then visited the store again today November 16th 2024 and the baby room was still closed. Honestly disgusted with this as my little one needed to be tended to, both myself and a friend had to change our babies on the floor outside the baby room blocking other customers from browsing as well as having members of staff look at us but not approach us with an apology or offer any assistance (not that we needed their assistance but an apology would have been appreciated) Not only that but obviously it was very inappropriate to have to change our children in front of general public. I?m so sad because I raved about how pleasant it was to be able to access these small things, I even was a paying customer looking back I wish I didn?t give them my custom for the inconvenience caused! It?s meant to be an accessible for parents to privately tend to their children but very inaccessible had to walk around with a soiled nappy could of been petty and left it there to be honest but I didn?t have that in me.

I was feeling really low about my menopausal skin and needed a new foundation and face powder. I visited Boots Taunton store and was given great advice by Cathy from the No7 team. She did a skin analysis test which showed just what my skin needed and then chose me a wonderful foundation which really suited my skin and gave a lovely glow. I also purchased many other items on her advice after the testing on my face whilst in store. She did my makeup so well and I had a lovely healthy, natural glow after she spent time with me showing me exactly how to apply the items, explaining the benefits of the serum and other skincare products that suited my needy skin. I am thrilled with the results. I haven?t used No7 for many years but I will be a regular customer now. I left the store feeling and looking much better. Thanks so much Cathy. You are a credit to Boots.

Why are the shelves generally half empty? I have enquired, and it seems that Taunton is not one of the shops to close due to downsizing, so why do I always have to resort to purchasing items online for items not stocked!
