“Good shop to get arts and crafts for the children... and take a look at the books on offer. The works is great to check out for more traditional pastimes for all ages. Jigsaw puzzles and quiz books on a variety of subjects. Board games.... Great to see they are alive and kicking... Spotted one if my childhood favourites, "Monopoly". If you are thinking of perhaps taking up an artist hobby like sketching, water colours or oil painting The Works has comprehensive starting out gear. Easels canvas and paint sets to get you started. I also notice that they stock invoice books and diaries. Useful if you didn't know that.”

“This is one of Oxfam's bookshops, situated right in the centre of Taunton. It has a very large selection of fiction and non-fiction books but also a small number of gift items such as fair trade chocolate and cards. You can buy gifts such as goats and teachers to give friends for birthdays or christmas.”

“This really is a top class charity shop actively letting people with learning disabilities volunteer. The clothes are all pressed before going on sale. There is always a great selection of books, CD's, DVD's etc and the manager runs a happy ship. This comes with a really well presented retail unit that uses its money for a great cause. It’s a reasonable version of the store we know up and down the country. Smiths on the high street isn’t what it used to be, but it’s nice they are still present even if no longer a go to store”
