Tried to open a joint account in branch and was told we had to do it online. tried to do it online and was told to do it in the branch. called their support and they also said you have to do it in branch. Wasted my time trying to setup an account and going into town to then be turned away even though that is what you have to do

I called Barclays back in October 2022 to get an update on my mortgage application. I spoke with Katarzyna Kozlowska, who was really polite over the phone. She went above and beyond to assist me with my request. She handled to call with a positive attitude, which made me feel very calm despite the stressful situation that I was in. This isn't against the barclays in taunton but barclays service overall. Went into the branch on the 14th June to set up power of attorney. Their guide says 10 working days for everything to be processed. As of thr 2nd July I'm still waiting for access to my dad's accounts. Halifax was all sorted within 2 days. Needless to say it's one stress I can do without and I will be closing all of my dad's barclays accounts down

Today I contact the Taunton branch and spoke with a lovely gentleman by the name of Andrew Milotay. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. I have been calling Barclays since Nov 2021 trying to organise my new card to be sent to Australia and not one person has been able to help until now. Andrew needs to be rewarded for his hard work and polite manner. He went above and beyond to assist me today. I?m so thankful he answered the phone today. Thanks again Andrew

Went to Barclays today after checking the opening hours online. Wanted to pay in some cash over the counter. Greeted by a big sign saying new counter opening times which finished a few hours before my visit! Didn't have my bank card with me so couldn't use the automated service. Tried to ask if I could use my app in some way to pay in cash but nothing. Lady asked if I had a bank card at home which was about as useful as when as a child you ask your mum where your favourite toy is for her to say "where did you last have it?". I think the least Barclays can do is update their opening hours to their account holders.

Went to visit Barclays Bank in Taunton to print some up to date statements for previous 3 months till today as I needed urgently. Lewis was serving me but he missed some of the month to print. He told me to wait further for this to be done but he was doing walking but nothing. Attitude and service is very poor. I have 4 business account with them but really thinking to move elsewhere.

Even one star is too much.Uncompetent, very poorly educated staff. If you work in a bank, at least you need to know how to count. Such a shame, because they are so many clever people widouth a job.

Staff are useless they just stand around in their suits with a laptop and do nothing!! Very stuck up and unhelpful. Poor attitude and poor customer service!!
