My husband and I went on a Tuesday lunchtime, we both had steak and merlot pie, the filling was packed with tender meat, pastry was quite hard, vegetables were too undercooked for us.
Relatives who were with us had sea bass which was enjoyed and gammon, egg and chips which were pretty inedible but after mentioning that to the waitress she was apologetic and that meal was not charged for.
The staff were all very efficient and cheerful so credit to them.

Lunch menu is spot on!
Evening menu is the same...... what a shame. We had to leave.
The food is good but the menu is boring in the evening.

We were advised on arrival that food was taking longer than normal to deliver but we're kept updated on progress by the attentive staff. The place is exceptionally clean and tidy with a great menu and an extensive range of beers, ciders, lager and spirits and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
This is a pub well worth a slight detour off the beaten track and we wish the place every success in the future, we'll certainly be returning!

Great atmosphere and food! We stopped in with a group of 9 weary travelers and they were able to make accommodations for us. Enjoyed the Sunday roast.

Not many in the pub but we booked a table for steak night couldn't see anyone else eating but they had run-out of stilton sauce and no strawberries for the eaten mess won't be rushing there again spoilt our anniversary ?

A charming country pub with a warm, welcoming feel. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the setting is full of character. A lovely spot for a relaxed meal or a quiet drink?highly recommended!

Ours friends had booked the function room Saturday evening for a surprise party, the staff did a fantastic job of getting all the food out quickly with no errors, food was fantastic , the biggest plate of ham egg and chips I've ever had and it was delicious

Stopped by for an early evening meal and a drink. An old farmhouse turned country pub that is very popular. Good selection of beers and an excellent menu. Nice informative chat with the young lady at the bar, and the chef. Live performances take place at one end of the bar area. Plenty of seating inside and in the garden. Nice to sit outside in the spring sun. Large car park.
