“A lovely shop, stocked with a variety of interesting stuff. Unfortunately the breathtaking rudeness of one of the members of staff (the branch supervisor, quite possibly) who behaved like a town councilor on a power trip really spoiled my visit.

Whatever you do, don't go into the back room, even if you're trying to be helpful.

Verboten! You'll be hung, drawn and quartered, tarred and feathered, stretched on a rack, put in stocks and taken to the village pond for a stool dunking - all at once!”

“What a little gem of a place. Never been here before, even though we live about 11 miles away! After parking the car up (free), you can head towards the small cafe, for a drink and cake, or go into the designer shops (only one was open on Easter Bank Holiday Sunday, but more so after severe flooding), or pay £7.50 entrance to the gardens, which I think is a little on the expensive side, especially as the foliage and flowers weren't out yet or even get a complimentary drink. Better to go in mid Spring - Summer time. As usual, I took lots of photos. But still worth a visit.”
