What a little gem of a place. Never been here before, even though we live about 11 miles away! After parking the car up (free), you can head towards the small cafe, for a drink and cake, or go into the designer shops (only one was open on Easter Bank Holiday Sunday, but more so after severe flooding), or pay £7.50 entrance to the gardens, which I think is a little on the expensive side, especially as the foliage and flowers weren't out yet or even get a complimentary drink. Better to go in mid Spring - Summer time. As usual, I took lots of photos. But still worth a visit.

Beautiful, almost hidden gem of a place. My only concern was that my 2 year old daughter has no concept of water safety and there were no lifeguards on duty.

Attractive historic gardens are a delight to view, even on a wet winters day. Check what days the gardens are open before coming. There is an admission charge to enter the gardens. Tickets can be bought from the cafe which serves hot and cold beverages and delicious cakes.

A really beautiful garden with picturesque viaduct and water features. Autumn is definitely a great time to visit - we had such fun doing the Halloween trail and feeding the ducks under the red leaves.Carl at the shed was very helpful and personable, which made a big positive impact on our experience. Tasty pumpkin spiced latte and we got in with the Gardeners World 2 for 1 card so got value for money!
